This is probably one of my favorite parts from the series. The way he says that joke has been stuck in my head for a while, and yet it still gets me every time.
I hope they make a reference to this in Jellystone, seeing Pete is in the show.

Yeah it's correct that Chris Edgerley was the voice of Potamus
He did voice Potamus, but in Season 2 onwards. Joe Alaskey voiced him in Season 1.

Why is he not in Birdgirl?
It appears that "Birdgirl" does not have licensing rights to any "actual" Hanna-Barbera characters - it's only using characters _inspired by_ Hanna-Barbera intellectual property. (Birdgirl/Judy herself was created by Williams Street for "Harvey Birdman", so they could keep the rights to that character.) Then again, given "Meredith Mind-Taker", it's possible that a _different and legally distinct_ Potamus may appear - just not Peter himself.
@@HaloInverse Warner Bros. owns the Hanna-Barbera characters, but that was not much of a problem when Harvey Birdman was made back in 2001 because both Turner Broadcasting and WB were owned by TimeWarner. It was likely a creative decision to include their own characters.
Now, WB owns Cartoon Network after WarnerMedia dissolved Turner Broadcasting in 2019. So, it’s possible HB characters can show up in Season 2 of Birdgirl.
Because the HB characters are currently used in a FAMILY FRIENDLY show like Jellystone! Meaning the Peter in Jellystone is a otaku instead of a perverted lawyer like everyone sees him as.
