Oh yes, your video on cleaning metal roofs was very informative. Thank you!
Great info on your blog. I live on the Big Island of Hawaii, in the wet side. Metal roofs, high humidity, with algae build up.
What is oil paning?
What percentage of bleach do you feel is ok? Most roff washer giys use 1 to 3 %... Is that ok?
Tons of mold, pollen and algea on our roof.
Need to clean fromm the ground or a ladder, no way im walking on a metal roof much less a wet one
What is the machine on ropes that was being used? We have a two story and we are concerned about reaching all of it safely.
Hello. This is a great channel for someone like myself who has a metal roof. Do you have any advice on repair of a metal roof? I have a couple 1-2 inch cuts/slit openings in my roof (previous owner may have dropped a tool or something). Do you have advice or best practices to repair this? I am very rural and do not have many roofing experts in my area to ask. Thank you.
Cover it with small patches of the same roofing panels. They make adhesives specifically for metal roofing. Or replace the entire panel.
What color roof do you have there?
Appreciate the video, only thing I came across that I didn’t have a clear solution for was when I was walking on the roof with water boots, I did notice some spots that would have a “boot print” left behind. Not the case with shingle or tile, but with the metal roof it was pretty apparent. Any ideas how to remove it or avoid in the future? Sometimes you have to get up there and walk
I know this is a late responese but your probably disturbing the oxidation layer from paint damage. The only way to fix this is to perform an oxidation removal service. Before getting on a metal roof if you rub your finger on a panel and get a film like residue on your finger it probably oxidation. If your would like some chemical ideas, Gutterbutter is an amazing product for this. BUT please be careful oxidation removal is a risky service, since if left on to long it can damage paint.
@@XteriorxpertsFL after a few rain showers it all went away, but you are right about the oxidation. I have a jug of gutter butter but was very hesitant to use it
Just installed a new metal roof on our barn and the manufacturer strongly recommended to never use bleach. His recommendation was to use vinegar.
Hello. I live in Albion, IN. 46701. Do you know of any reputable metal roof cleaning companies in this area? I have a 2 story lake cottage near sycamore tress. The cottage is 3 years old and the metal roof has never been cleaned. Also, the snow guards are collecting tons of twigs, leaves, etc and is difficult to access. Any references, comments, suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!😊
This is not a dirty roof.
Debreeze? Debris.
The "s" is silent in the word debris.
You're welcome
@@charlottesspot The period is assumed. The sentence HAS ended 🤣🤣🤣
Might honestly be a big downside for metal
Environmental debris cakes into the crevices and spoils the look. Cleaning with a low phosphorus soap and garden hose as per their instructions do not resolve the issue so for that reason I would not recommend this product especially if you have any tree debris
