Yes there is a book with links to private online youtube lessons called "Basic Music Theory for Banjo Players: Illustrated with Playing Examples for the 5-String Banjo" you can get it on amazon. its the best book i have seen.
It is just 3 2 1. First I pick string 3 with the thumb, then pluck string 1 and 2at the same time with my index and middle finger. The 2nd part is just a forward roll starting with the 3 rd string.
It’s the same strings for the whole video which I explained very thoroughly at the beginning of the video. I even had a diagram showing where to put your fingers.
I’m hoping to not confuse you . I’m considering picking up a Gold Tone OB 150 EF ( extra Fret ) orange Blossom banjo . 🪕 Have you tried one of the 24 Fret banjos yet ? I ran a question by Ned Luberecki about this subject . His answer didn’t surprise me . He was not a fan of having more than the normal Fret board . I would like to hear your response to this . I have been following you for a while .
hello Donald, That is a loaded question right there. ha ha. I have not played a 24 fret banjo, not because i am against it. I just have never ran had the need for the extra 2 frets. I think if you play in alot keys outside of the traditional bluegrass keys then it could be well worth it. Also i think it depends on your knowledge of the fretboard. If you have a good grasp on how to utilize those extra frets i say go for it.
@@BanjoAddict I’m a fan of Bluegrass Gospel Music . You really don’t need extra Frets . I was mostly curious as to your feelings on it . I’m now positive that I don’t need the extra Frets . But it is a gorgeous looking banjo . 🪕 Check it out at Banjo Ben’s General Store .

What is the left han doing? It is more than 321. There are two other notes I can't guess. I'm a little challenged learning this stuff.

I meant what right hand picking patterns to play when you’re fretting the movable chords.
