I just started watching this video and wanted to say how noticeable it is that you stopped wearing concealer. Your whole face looks so smooth and soft and your eyes seem to be brighter and more of the focal point on your face. Sorry if that sounds weird but, basically, I love that you stopped wearing under eye concealer because you look younger and more beautiful without it. 😁
I’ve been enjoying your videos for with a while now. I’m 63 and have quite a bit of texture on my skin due to large pores, acne scarring from my late 20’s and of course those nasty little lines. They make up videos I was watching of younger women just wasn’t helping. I ran across your one day and after watching have been hooked. You give such great tips on application and brands that fit in my budget. Thanks girl!!
Over 70k❣️❣️❣️Your channel will always be my absolute fave!!! Happy for you ❤️ I’m loving and using many of the products mentioned here per your recommendations!👍🏼
Thanks for the tip of putting highlighter underneath foundation - I’ve never thought any highlighter looked “right” on my skin because it yelled out “hey, look at me” because I’ve applied in the standard “after contour and blush” way. Also - love the Milani Baked Blushes - they are SO good! And, finally, thanks to you, I’ve also stopped using concealer under my eyes, and instead use a brightener (Maybelline Age Rewind), then apply foundation - MUCH better, and less crinkly (older) under eyes!
I know it’s not relevant to this video but just found you today - I watched the one on mental health and a dupe one. I’m 65 - lost my husband when I was 52 to bone cancer and my father 4 month later. Have fibromyalgia and had anxiety and panic then. I lost my 35 yr old son to alcoholism 6 months ago - some anxiety and panic - I’m still standing ! Keep going - one foot in front of the other - I too have lovely hubby - glad I found you 💕
Have re-watched this to take some notes for my next makeup shopping trip and saw that you mentioned the Essence Contour Duo Palette. You are the only person I've ever heard mention it and I thought it was an inexpensive treasure that only I'd discovered. Should have known that nothing good ever gets past you!
Melissa, you look so pretty today! Your skin is so clear. I enjoyed this video to acquaint myself with some drugstore products. Thanks for all of the info. xo Cathy
Hi Mrs Melissa, just yesterday I put on the Sephora foundation you were talking about in this video in not the ideal lighting, I applied it and thought it looked really good, especially the color match. At this time of my life, I use medium to full, but I found the Sephora in my bag and tried it. When I went to look in good light, I was disappointed - still a great color match, but definitely not enough coverage for my 67 year old self! So I applied my Revlon Illuminance over it and I was much happier with the result. So based on your comments on the Sephora foundation, it can be used as a base or “precursor “ to my fuller coverage foundation. What a neat idea! I was going to toss my Sephora, but not now! Thank you! ❤
Never too long when we’re talking makeup!!!! Plus I’m doing dishes and it makes it so much easier…Haha What is the name of the color additives to darken or lighten foundations that you’ve talked about before? I can never find them, thank you Melissa :))
LA Girl has the white pigment & the blue I talk about Carol. No7 has some foundation drops or something like that. I use a darker color of those to darken my foundations. It takes a tiny bit.
I've purchased the NYX primer after watching one of your videos. I honestly can say WOW! Wasn't expecting it to be as good as it truly is. I'm not sure if it's just me, but after applying the primer my skin feels kind of lifted, which I really appreciate it being 55 years old. Great video Melissa!!! Congratulations on getting more and more subscribers 👏 You absolutely earned it 👏 Love your channel very much ! I am your subscriber for a good while now and have watched all of your videos I have missed watching in the past! ❤
Woohooooo!!! I still can't believe it! In January I went over 50K. I have to tell you that I almost quit in December. I was so discouraged. I'm glad I didn't. And I would have missed you anyway.
Wow I didn’t know that there was something to hide flaws in the skin the Elf stuff I wonder if it would cover old scars? Learning so much here thanks again.
I have been using & really enjoying the old school Covergirl Continuous Cover lipsticks. (Smokey Rose, Sugar Almond, Iced Mauve...). I agree that Rimmel's "Addiction" is a great liner & sometimes wear it as a lipstick also. Really enjoyed this video❤
After watching your videos I’ve tried many and love them all. My very favorite is the Essence 24Ever bold volume mascara. I never liked waterproof mascara before trying this one. My lashes definitely look fuller and longer and no smudges! I love the powder before foundation technique! I use the elf poreless putty primer, Canmake lavender powder, No.7 lift & luminate serum foundation, Essence contour duo, elf wow brow, wet & wild eyeshadow palettes. Thank you for always helping me not make mistakes when choosing new products. I’ve never been disappointed :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this!!!! I’m in love with so so many of the products you talked about!!! I can’t believe I’ve never tried the Colourpop Super Shock Blushes, I think I suspected they’d be too glittery... can’t wait to try the one you demo’d🤗
Oh this was such a good video Melissa. I’ve got so many good ideas and there are just terrific drugstore products. I’ll be looking some of these up. You take care and have a blessed week. Love, Melissa
Glad to hear you speak of our natural cool or warm skin tones. Was a color consultant back in the '80's. Still coordinate my clothes and makeup using the principals.
@@MrsMelissaM - Yep. Knew you were a "Summer." :-) I still have my color testing drapes. I'm a Classic "Winter." Dark hair, dark brown eyes, VERY fair skin. Love your channel & content. I just found you through Pretty Over Fifty. I so related to your earlier video about staying home more / finding new friends on RUclips. I was in a near fatal car accident and have been recovering for about 18 months. I was watching younger influencers because I still have adult acne (I've over 60) but I am finding so much pleasure in your and Kimberly's video. Bless you!
Love watching you and love the doggies too!! I have found Flower has a peach brightening or concealer and Catrice had a peach but not on website??? But I agree with you that NO 7 doesn't get the love and respect it should..I love the loose powder and Bronzer...the first bronzer that didn't make me orange .
Ah this was so much fun!! But you went to fast, lol so I'll watch again! Adore all your picks so you, I even knew what you'd pick in some categories. Fun, fun, fun with Melissa
I bought the pixie corrector and I was not happy with it because I felt it was too dark for my skin and a bit dry. I recommend you try Joe Blasko orange corrector in light. It is hydrating and it covers dark circles completely.
Love your videos! I am a very mature person and need an undereye concealer. I use a lightweight one and set with a setting mist. Powder seems to magnify my undereye wrinkles.
Helloooo Mrs. M! You are so thorough! I bought the No. 7 foundation because of you. Game changer. Also have the No. 7 powder. Two things you mentioned I bought on a whim and were unexpected surprises: the Kokie highlighter. Hadn’t heard of them and did an impulse buy. I lightly tap it on with a brush then blend in. By doing so it is more subtle and very pretty. And the Essence lip liner. It is so smooth, nice colors and easy to work with. You have a blush fetish. Me too and a lipstick fetish….so it looks like I need to explore the shades in this awesome video! TU!
Hi I just found you…you’re simply beautiful and thank you for helping me with my makeup…I’m 65 years old and not very knowledgeable with makeup…thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤
Think I may have stayed this b4, but I LOVE your emphasis on drugstove treats!! .. AND those that work on skin that is less than perfectly smooth faces!!
Great video. Ditched concealer as well. Totally agreed. It didn't look good and not using was a much better look. FUN TIME WATCHING this. Consider doing again when new upcoming products are added or removed ♡
I have purchased flower beauty highlighter you recommended. It is the best. love it. Very impressed with the quality and the price. Thank you for the wonderful video.
The elf highlighter I always forget about that great video and yes the essence I was looking at Ulta and I came across the essence lip glosses and I'm telling you there's just nothing better I love them!! I really enjoyed this video Melissa thank you
I am so happy that I found your channel! At first I have to say that I put off trying No 7 Lift and Luminate because it was a bit more expensive than other foundations I’ve been using. I’m sorry I waited…it’s phenomenal! What a difference! Totally worth the extra few bucks. And the Nyx primer…Wow! Thank you for all of your recommendations and tips. I look better than I have in years.
I do like the elf putty primer. I also love the halo powder from elf. The milani bronzer is one of my favorites. I will repurchase once I use up a bronzer I love the pixi under eye corrector. I prefer it over the Becca under eye corrector.
I have areas of sallow skin on my face too (and also cool=toned) and I never knew what to do about it. I'll definitely be trying that lavender powder under my BB cream. Also, I'm another that loves the hint about putting the highlighter underneath (I'm really not big on someone being able to see my cheeks from space).
Wow Melissa, you are looking so healthy and beautiful! Love all your tips, especially doing away with the concealer, works well for me too. Happy to see your channel is growing!! Keep up the good work!! 😉👍💗
Awesome video! I really appreciate all of the tlc and work you put into this video. I really enjoyed watching, but then I love watching all of your videos! Have a wonderful and blessed day, 🌻💖🤗Deb from N.C.
I love this because I LOVE high end makeup and don’t own enough drugstore to have an all top 3 but I am using drug store more and more so always looking for suggestions.
Hi Dear MrsM …You look gorgeous & I’ve been catching up watching a few of Your vids I’ve missed of late…& I was thinking how lovely Your makeup looks & Why?? I realise Now it’s bc You haven’t been using the dark eyeshadow or taking the eyeliner out further at Your eye corners!, Your eye makeup is Lighter & bc of that I feel You Look Years Younger!! Your eyes Look huge & amazing!! Just my opinion.. Blessings & Love Marc from Australia 😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇺
After watching your video, I bought the Flower priming whip and the LA Girl pallet. I can’t tell you how much I love them. Thanks so much for good information and great videos!
Melissa, I just checked, Morphe Continuous Spray does not have alcohol. It has some oil in it. I love the spray but it does not keep my makeup on my oily skin. Great video. Thank you.
Hi Melissa! The elf finishing powder is fantastic. I saw a RUclipsr say it was a dupe for the Kosas Cloud Powdee. I love using the elf powder especially over my tinted sunscreen as I live in super humid Florida so anything you put on your face just slides off.
You look just gorgeous in this video. White is your color. Whatever you are doing is just beautiful. I have that Elf quad and I have used it many times. I also like it. What primer would you recommend for Estee Lauder double wear foundation? I'm afraid to use a luminating primer under the foundation. I also like the Mabelline micro brow. Thanks.
Great recommendations & thanks for the video🤩😻! I told you that I’ve been sweating a lot so I don’t put anything on. The other day I did & when I went to the restroom yikes😳. I literally wet my whole face & the mascara was still holding on😄😄😄. Appreciate you so very much 🥰. You look fabulous 😘!
I have stoped using concealer, thanks for that video, they really do not work for mature skin, I do have a couple of the items you show today but I made a list, lol, now it's off to the drugstore, love the baked Milani blushes, thanks for another great video...kisses to the pups, stay safe Melissa.
Love, love, love this video! Have you tried any Essence eye shadows? Saw some lovely palettes in the drugstore recently. Wondered what your thoughts were about the quality of their shadows. I so enjoy watching you! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing your favorites. I don't work outside the home anymore, so I don't wear or buy much makeup. I like hearing recommendations. Essence mascara is the only mascara I wear, and I have tried them all from the cheapest to the "I can't believe this costs $___! " I am a brunette, but very fair - so many foundations make me orange. I will have to try some you suggest.
Thanks for all the prep into making this video..gonna add some more to my wishlist, While enjoying some of the same ones, no.7 powder, milani bronzer !
Miss Melissa, you look stunning! (As usual😍). Loved this video of drugstore makeup. Yes I think Sephora brand qualifies! And I love their eyeshadows too! You might want to try them. Love you my friend!🥰
Fantastic video Melissa! I have so many of these products. Some of them I have forgotten about but this makes me want to go through my stash and retry them.

Oh my gosh Melissa, so many goodies to check out ! I’ve been using the Essence Lip Gloss for a while now. Such a nice gloss for the price. I have one on my purse, and one with my make up kit.

Your eyes Look huge & amazing!! Just my opinion.. Blessings & Love Marc from Australia 😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇺
Thank you Marc. It seems to be much better for me for sure!!!
Such an informative video! Love you girl
Love u too my sweet friend
After watching your video, I bought the Flower priming whip and the LA Girl pallet. I can’t tell you how much I love them. Thanks so much for good information and great videos!
That's awesome Ruthie! So glad to hear that!
Melissa, I just checked, Morphe Continuous Spray does not have alcohol. It has some oil in it. I love the spray but it does not keep my makeup on my oily skin. Great video. Thank you.
Oh wow! Thanks for checking on that Tatiana!
I've bought the between the sheets twice now because of your recommendation. I love it
So glad to hear that Glo
Hi Melissa! The elf finishing powder is fantastic. I saw a RUclipsr say it was a dupe for the Kosas Cloud Powdee. I love using the elf powder especially over my tinted sunscreen as I live in super humid Florida so anything you put on your face just slides off.
One of your best video Melissa! Blessings!
Oh thank you so much. I really appreciate that!
You are looking so beautiful and radiant, Melissa!!💕
You're too kind Kate. Thank you for watching & being here!
Thanks.
Oh goodness Shannon, I absolutely love the NYX primer the more I use it! It sinks in and is so smooth. It's truly my holy grail!
I love Flower Beauty Setting Spray so much! I use the radiant one but the mist is the Best!
Yep! I save those bottles for other things!
Oh that's too funny Carol! Go go mascara!
Thanks for coming through with drug store Yeah!
Thanks Melissa Jennifer 🤩
Drugstore is amazing these days Jennifer! Hope you have a great week girlfriend!
I have stoped using concealer, thanks for that video, they really do not work for mature skin, I do have a couple of the items you show today but I made a list, lol, now it's off to the drugstore, love the baked Milani blushes, thanks for another great video...kisses to the pups, stay safe Melissa.
Wonderful video. Thanks for all the recommendations
You're very welcome Cece.
Congratulations for 70k !!!! ❤❤❤
Thanks so very much!
Love, love, love this video! Have you tried any Essence eye shadows? Saw some lovely palettes in the drugstore recently. Wondered what your thoughts were about the quality of their shadows. I so enjoy watching you! Keep up the great work!
I really like them actually, Katherine. They just came out with these little 6 pan ones & the quality is quite nice! I love the smaller palettes.
Oh the one from Sephora is such a cool pretty undertone! Love it!
@@MrsMelissaM thanks!
You are awesome 👏. Thanks for making this video. It is very fun and helpful 💕💕
I'm so happy you liked it! Thanks for watching. It means so much to me.
Thank you for all of these recommendations! I really like the L’Oréal bronzer as well! I love how natural and easy to apply it is.
You're absolutely right about how easy it is. So glad you already like it!
Thanks for all the prep into making this video..gonna add some more to my wishlist, While enjoying some of the same ones, no.7 powder, milani bronzer !
Both such gorgeous products Laya!
I bought the marshmallow primer because of you . Love it!
Miss Melissa, you look stunning! (As usual😍). Loved this video of drugstore makeup. Yes I think Sephora brand qualifies! And I love their eyeshadows too! You might want to try them. Love you my friend!🥰
Love you too sweet lady! And I absolutely will try them Marian!
Fantastic video Melissa! I have so many of these products. Some of them I have forgotten about but this makes me want to go through my stash and retry them.
This made me shop my stash for sure! So many things we have & forget about to the "next greatest thing"! Lol
Have a great week Heidi!
Melissa this was an amazing video, I have quite a few of what you mentioned and I started your foundation technique and I’m loving it, thank you, thank you.🥰🥰🥰
Oh my gosh Melissa, so many goodies to check out ! I’ve been using the Essence Lip Gloss for a while now. Such a nice gloss for the price. I have one on my purse, and one with my make up kit.
