At first I thought oh wow Kelly decided to bejewel herself then you said white dots. Just goes to show how well you did applying those dots. Very cute!!
Ok. A couple of notes... 1. Awesome video. Did not feel as long as you said it was gonna be. Jammed packed of useful info, hardly any clutter, well organized, AND WITH TIME STAMPS!? Nice job. *golf clap* 2. Loving the eye make up! My lil sister does a similar thing with her makeup and it looks so ethereal and magical with hardly any extra work. Working it. Love it. 3. I know all RUclipsrs say this but when I hear stuff in the backgrounds of videos, it sounds more genuine. Literally. All the kids and the pets and the traffic and the worldly noise going on around them. It's natural. People have lives to live and it's just beautiful you're inadvertantly capturing on video. Loving the videos. Keep up the good work. (:
I decided to try out the elf flawless finish at Walmart since my shade was only $3 and then I remembered you highly raved about it. I said $3 why not, and guess what I fell in love with it too! 😂
It's now June 2024, and E.L.F has just released a Soft Glam medium buildable satin foundation for $8. It's kinda a re-released of their $6 medium satin foundation, but better IMO. It has 36 shades and all skin tones have a warm/cool/neutral. Loving it so far!
Please try the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator! Is super cheap and beautiful on the skin. The only downside is the shade range. I’m usually “light” but heard that it was too dark and bought “fair” and it is still a little too dark for me. They also have “porcelain” but that one looks too pink.
It’s so interesting how skin type and other factors can affect foundation. I have combo-oily acne prone skin, and the yet I get great wear-time with the Colourpop tinted moisturizer! Granted, I often wear a primer (although not strictly mattifying) and/or powder, but I also live in a hot and humid climate that tends to make my makeup very slide-y or wear off quickly. I don’t try a lot of foundation/base products so I haven’t explored possibly better formulas like Kelly has, but it’s been my go to for over a year. Definitely would like to try some others though!
I am so sad the ELF serum foundation with SPF 20 was discontinued. It was my all time fav. I'm trying out new foundations now so this video is super timely.
I’m quite liking the Elf camo powder foundation. I sometimes use it as a one and done quick out the door option. I don’t build it up. I use a sponge to apply it.
I really like TO serum foundation. Picked it up on a whim (in my perfect shade, because that's my super power) because it's no big deal. It *does* have more coverage than I expected, but it feels like a proper foundation. The ones you can apply where needed as needed and adjust as you go. I got one of the shades with "golden reflects" but I can't really see it. It's just yellow enough to make my ruddy mayonnaise skin look less embarrassed.
I absolutely love this look. I totally agree with your opinion on the ELF CC Cream. I wanted to love it but it looks awful on my skin. I got some new affordable foundations to try! Thanks Kelly.
I am currently really enjoying the Rimmel skin tint, it has BARLY any coverage, and is so lightweight, but that's why I like it, its not really noticeable applied to the skin and kinda just even things out a bit, and wears nicely
I know Makeup Revolution are a bit hit and miss sometimes but they do really nice foundations! I've never been disappointed with any MR foundation I've tried. Great video as always Kelly.😍
I just got the e.l.f. flawless finish foundation in my latest e.l.f. order and I'm excited to try it! I actually really like the wet'n'wild photofocus foundation as well. I have the e.l.f. camo cc cream and don't love it as much as I thought I did at first. It doesn't wear well on me and breaks down rather quickly which is unfortunate. I've tried with several different primers and application techniques to no avail. However, it does mix well for me into other products that I have if I want to boost the coverage so I'll use it up that way.
Thank you for this video.. in the future it would be even more helpful if you would show a clip of application of each product so we could also see how it looks on the skin. Thanks for taking the time to put this video together
I like the dewy version of the photo focus. A lot of people don't consider wnw cruelty free though (I believe Kelly talks about this in an older video)
I tried the dewy formulation. It looked ok but has a very strong unpleasant smell. That was a dealbreaker for me. I'm really liking the Cover Girl Trueblend Hydrating.
Really not fond of a lot of the female beauty creators on here. But you give off like this genuine like real vibe. I dont feel like im watching a youtube video. I feel like were like sitting down one on one and you’re teaching me personally. Which is cool cause you connect with everyone. Definitely here to stay 😅😬💖
I have normal/dry combo skin. I've been enjoying the MUR powder foundation. I moisturize first and spray with setting spray. Exfoliation before it helps me as I weirdly get dry patches by my nose especially even in heat. The joys of getting older 😂
The essence mousse foundation was my go to foundation in high school and I really thought it looked great 😅 nowadays everyone says how bad it is, it makes me want to try it again just to see if I really was that delusional 😂
Great video!! I've been using the Elf Flawless Foundation for quite awhile now and, I absolutely LOVE it too!! Amazon has it for $2.59 and I need to stock up...😆
I live in a desert climate and a mousse like foundation really keeps the moisture in my skin but over the top of my sunblock. It made my skin look juicy.
The Ordinary Serum Foundation for some reason started looking bad on me. I hadn't had it for years and repurchased recently. It doesn't look good on me anymore. I was kinda shocked tbh. And the kokie foundation looks awful on me too. It might be because I'm 44.
I thought I was the only one who couldn’t understand the elf camo cc hype. First of all, the initial launch shades were RIDICULOUS. Light was straight yellow. Second, I’ve never had more disgusting looking skin than when I put that in. It’s anything but smooth, it’s drying. Just so bad in every way.
I want to love drugstore foundations because I do believe there are some great formulas out there. But I have such a terrible time trying to find a shade match. Sometimes the really sheer ones work out ok but even then the lightest shades tend to be too dark and not neutral enough. The only drugstore foundation I have right now is the Uoma by Sharon C and it's laughable how badly I shade matched myself.
When I’m in the store that doesn’t have testers, I grab my holy grail foundation in my perfect shade. I walk around the store with it and use that to try and find a close match in another brand.
Terrific video! Thank you. If I had normal to dry skin, I would absolutely love the Dollar General believe Beauty Foundation for medium coverage. On my oily skin, it just is too dewy but it's a beautiful foundation for $5. I'm still on the hunt for a replacement for my Revlon Color Stay matte. It's just so long wearing on my oily skin and definitely mattifying
If you’re looking for oily skin recommendations, maybe check out Risa Does Makeup and Stephanie Marie on RUclips. They both have oily skin and give good recommendations. Good luck!
I agree with colourpop pretty fresh tinted moisturizer, I thought I liked it, unfortunately I don’t like it anymore, I’m going to use it up but don’t care for it
I love drugstore foundations! I have such a hard time finding my shade though because I'm very fair. Most foundations are too dark and orange for me :/
Same here, I’m very fair and cool toned. I went to Sephora because my friend’s daughter works there to try to have her match my shade, and she even struggled. Neutral shades pull too yellow on me so trying to find a shade light enough, but not quite porcelain and cool toned is a struggle. Good luck!
For powder, I can’t say enough good things about the CoverGirl Simply Ageless. It goes on so smooth and not powdery even with matte primer and foundation. I feel the same way as you about the ELF Camo powder. It’s okay. BUT I love the JCat one! 😂
Nice to hear another person hating that powder foundation from j cat beauty. Having drier skin it’s always hard to find a good powder foundation though 😢

You didn't mention my favorite foundation of all times: the Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow! It has a light/medium coverage and looks amazing on normal to dry skin! The concealer was amazing too, it's a shame it was discontinued! Kisses from Brazil

I‘ve recently tried the miracle foundation from max factor but it really did not work for me. The color shade ( the lightest one) looked orangey on me when blended out and it separated as well ( esp around my checks). Usually that does not happen with foundations/concealers for me so Idk 🤷♀️ It barely covered anything so I kept reapplying and obv that just made it look worse. Colourpop for me I cant find my shade and there shelve life is horrible. I got a medium deep shade so I figure it be an NC40 which is what I am nope it probably nc35 lol. I think it was 2nd darkest of medium deep too
I have oily skin and I really like the Elf powder foundation. (I mean not as much as the Dior, but) I feel like it blends in really nicely with my natural skin.
It is funny to me that a foundation from a skin care brand causes a lot of people to break out😂
Omg Aafra. I was thinking that also!
I had the exact same thought 😂
Because it's a bad skincare brand
@@amberspecter1 oh I disagree Amber. Have you tried any of their products? I think they have great dupes for many overpriced brands.
