Here's me on Etoro: etoro.tw/2rcYYm0 . Here's a link to the next video in this series: ruclips.net/video/0D7VLpN8Fb0/видео.html . Thanks all for watching, and I've tried to address some of your questions in the 4th video in this series (just recorded it). The third one will be up in about 20 mins.
@@SocialTrading thank you for your answer but in my balance sheet I'm only able to see that they are paying for the full share and not for the fractional part :(
You make great videos, your really good at explaining everything, your channel is worth having to watch adverts and You deserve every like you get, but I just wish the advert guy what comes on every single time “guys I just made $6000 in a single day” that guy needs to go into a corner and ask himself “if I can make $6000 in one single day why am even trying to sell corses on you tube”

Hey mate, thanks for all the work you put into your videos, i realy appreciate it. I have a couple of questions. 1) I was wondering if eToro charges a fee for paying out Dividends. 2) Does eToro withhold taxes for its customers or do they have to declare it on their tax return themselves? 3) If they do withhold taxes for their customers, what about if you are living in Europe? Do they withhold both the US taxes and the European taxes? Thanks
Hey there. a certain proportion of dividends on U.S companies is withheld by eToro to pay U.S taxes directly on those dividends. But as for taxes we all have to pay on etoro profits, I'd say ask a financial advisor / qualified accountant about that. I'd say it's the only safe way - no point messing about with taxes and getting into problems - I think I'd leave those answers to the pros really. As far as I know, we're all responsible for our own taxes - eToro doesn't take care of any of that.
Question: can I please get this right when buying a stock with x1 leverage of any company do you qualify to get dividends before, date which the company will declare that they will pay out dividends?
Nope, not that I'm aware of. I believe they're know as DRIP - Dividend ReInvestment Plans, and so far I haven't seen that feature on eToro, which is a shame. I'm sure a lot of people would love that...
Hi Thomas! I found and have started in etoro after I found your video!. Thanks again. I have one question though. If I bought a share from a stock and I want to buy more shares of that same stock, will it open a new trade for me or will it just add to the shares on the stock I previously bought?. Beginner here but learning as quick as I can.
For non US resident purchasing US stocks, 30% of dividend is withheld as taxes, unless I get a treaty tax rate (15% for me) by submitting to eToro a w-8ben module. Now. if I try to purchase a stock on eToro, I'm warned of this and asked to submit a w-8ben. Now, let's assume I never purchased a stock, how are copy trades dividend taxed? I was never prompted to submit a w-8ben in this case. If I really own the stock for copy trading, should I assume I'm currently paying 30% taxes on US stocks dividends?
Question! If I hold a dividend-paying stock and receive its dividends (in their payment date), would I get another dividend as they announce their NEXT ex-dividend date (and of course, receiving dividend in their payment date), and so on? Thanks!
Yes, as long as you're still holding it when the next ex-dividend date comes up (and as long as the company are still giving dividends by then) you'll be eligible for the next one too. I'll mention this in one of the upcoming videos - I actually thought I should say that but didn't ...
Hi and thank you for these great tutorials. I have started investing in Etoro for dividends. I have been receiving dividends over the past few months. My question is that I can't see which share in my portfolio has payed the dividend. Is there somewhere on Etoro that I can see which shares have just paid the dividend into my account?
you could try the account statement... go to your portfolio, click on the history option, then on the far right if the page theres the little gear icon. click that, then click 'account statement' and you can see dividend payouts in there i believe.
Thanks for the video! Very informative! Do the Dividends made for each particular stock get deposited into the "wallet"? or I have to close the order for me to get the accumulated dividends?
It depends on whether the dividend has come through a copied trade or a manual trade. As far as I'm aware, the copied ones will stay within the copy, but the manual ones will go to your available balance... I think that's right anyhow - it's been so long since i was investigating dividends that I might have got that the wrong way round... I'd check directly with eToro. I tried to make a video about where to see your dividends but it got so confusing, and there was no clear place where you can actually see a simple breakdown of all your dividends and where they came from. It's a bit of a missing feature, and I told them - they knew it would be helpful to add, but I think they had other priorities. If there's a big recession though 'value investing' might become more popular than 'growth investing' (speculating on the high-flyers in terms of price growth) so they might start looking into their dividend reporting features more.
Hey there - I had to double check this one, but yep - on this page: www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/75781345/does-etoro-pay-dividends/ there's the line "Your account may be either credited or debited if you are trading a stock, ETF or index that pays a dividend." so it's a yes :)
Thank you so much for all your guidance. These videos are extremely valuable for beginners. I have another question for you: what's your criteria when it comes to managing your gains copying portfolios. Do you withdraw money as you make it and diversity, or do you just trust the person you're copying so long as he or she is doing well?
I generally leave it with the person I'm copying so that they can make bigger trades in future and compound the profits, although I have , in the past, used some profits to copy other people. It always seems strange though - like I'm punishing the winner :) In the past, when i copied someone too risky and they were winning, i definitely kept withdrawing their profits and diversifying by putting it onto lower risk people to lower my risk. I've also withdrawn money from a copy just because I need the money at times. For now though, I'm just leaving profits with whoever's making them.
Thanks for your videos by the way. Really terrific learning curve. Quick question - what if I leverage the stock? Am I still entitled to the dividends or do I have to buy the underlying asset only?
Hi Nick - thanks - as far as I'm aware, leverage just changes the amount of units you're trading with on that asset, and the dividends are calculated per unit you have. So, dividends are still piad to you when you're using leverage as far as I'm aware. If in doubt, double check with eToro themselves, but I do believe that you do get dividends when trading with leverage, yes.
It depends if you still held the company on the ex-dividend date (I think... my memory's a bit rusty :) ) Here's what I found in the help section: "When will I receive my dividend payment? The date on which you will receive your dividend payment depends on the type of asset you are holding: If you hold a CFD position, the dividend payment will be reflected in your available balance on the ex-dividend date. If you hold a position secured with the real asset, you will receive the dividend payment in your available balance on the payment date."
Question! In what form I will get the dividend? Is it by cash in the “available” section? Thanks & have a nice one. (For example I own 0.8 unit of Disney and they pay out 5cent dividend)
As far as I'm aware, yes, it will be in the available funds section, but there was a lot of confusion about this which is why i didn't make the last video in my dividends series. There was also no clear place to see all of the dividends which you have earned which I told eToro seemed a bit stupid and they said they'd look into it I think.
Hi, i would like to know if i only own 0.5 unit of stock at buy position, do i still receiving dividend base on the amount of stock i hold? Or i need to hold 1 unit to receive the dividend?
hmmmm. I'm not sure. I think you can receive dividends no matter how much you hold, but actually I don't know. Best to ask eToro directly on that one - could you let me know if you find out. If I had to guess, I'd say the answer's yes though, you'd still receive it.
According to eToro's help section: "You must hold the position before the market closes two days before the ex-dividend date for the dividend payment to apply." At least that's what it says right now... If you go to the help section in eToro and just type 'dividend' you'll see the info come up.
Hello there ! Your videos are great ! I love theM and I appreciate your efforts. I’ve been doing my research about etoro and understanding the platform. . I have a very important question about “non trading fees “ does this fee apply to all types of trades ? I’m planing on only buying and holding stocks for the moment . I’m in for the long run. Thank you for you time .
I'm not sure what you mean by 'non trading fees' ... do you mean like the fee you get charged when you haven't logged in for a long time? I'm not sure.
There are some stocks and ETFs that shows 0% dividend yield on eToro, but somewhere else they show usual percentige (not 0). Do I get dividends from these as well? Why is it even ther when it's 0%. How does this work? Does anybody knows, plesase? Thank you for any answer.
Could you give me an example of one so I can see what you're meaning? Normally eToro will give dividends from any asset which returns dividends - as far as I'm aware that includes ETFs which contain companies which give dividends, and also leveraged CFD trades of dividend-yielding equities or ETFs...
Hi ... thanks for the enlightening session. However, I seem to have missed one important point - how exactly did you navigate to find the list / table of ex-dividend dates? Was it from etoro, or from google?
Hello, Does the dividends just get paid into your available balance on Etoro? Also you said about having to be in a buying position, if say I buy a stock that does offer dividends in January for example & they don’t offer dividends till March. If I just left the stock on my account didn’t touch it would I just receive the dividends automatically? Thanks for any help really been struggling to find this information with Etoro! Great Video 👍🏻
Hi there - If the dividend comes from someone you're copying, it gets ploughed back into the copy to be used by that trader in future trades... If it comes from a manual trade I believe it does go to your available balance, yes. I found this in their help section just now: "Your account may be either credited or debited if you are trading a stock, ETF or index that pays a dividend. If you hold a BUY position, you will receive the dividend payment to your available balance. If you hold a SELL position, the dividend payment will be deducted from your available balance." Re buying a stock in January and it paying dividends in March - yes, if the trade is open at the right date, you'll get the dividend payout as far as I'm aware. As long as the equity pays dividends, you'll get them if you're holding that equity at the correct ex-dividend date (although it depends if you're holding a CFD or the real asset) Again from eToro help section: "You must hold the position before the market opens on the ex-dividend date for the dividend payment to apply. If you hold a CFD position, the dividend payment will be reflected in your available balance on the ex-dividend date. If you hold a position secured with the real asset, you will receive the dividend payment to your available balance on the payment date." Hope that helps a bit :)
sometimes yes and sometimes no. it depends on the asset you're trading, whether you're buying or selling it, and whether you're using leverage.. leveraged trades are all cfds sell trades are all cfds copied trades are all cfds 'buy' positions in stocks without using leverage can be the real underlying asset. 'buy' positions in cryptos without leveraged can be the real underlying asset. you can find out more on the fees pages I believe. you can check the status for etf trades, commodities etc.
Hey thank you for this video! I saw that eToro pays 70% of US stocks dividend and 85% of other countries stocks dividend Do you know what is this? A fee for the broker ? I can't find any info around Thank you
Hey there - I asked, and what they said was that they have to pay taxes directly to the U.S and others, and that they don't take any of the dividend as profit - it all goes to pay the taxes. At least that's what they said - and I've heard other people say that that's a real thing... I can't be entirely sure though.
@@SocialTrading Hey thank you for your fast answer! Thank you! :) I've tried to break it up a bit. About to record another on copytrading with dividends and where the money goes when you actually receive it...
I need some advice i couldnt think of asking anywhere else. so im copy trading someone and as my profit goes up by a small amount my equity is going down. ??
@@SocialTrading only copy trades. after selling all trades in copied profile the equity raised. so it seemed to fix . also one question, how much % of invested money in a copy is spent per stock from copied persons.?
you can see that if you go to their portfolio and check the trades... it'll show the percentage of their money they've invested overall in that asset. if you click on the actual asset in their portfolio it'll show if they have only 1 trade or multiple smaller ones and how much of their money they invested each time.
Here's the bit from their help section about dividends: Does eToro pay dividends? YES WE DO. Your account may be either credited or debited if you are trading a stock, ETF or index that pays a dividend. By holding the position before market close on the day before the ex-dividend day, the dividend payment will reflect in your available balance, when announced. Receiving a dividend payment is a taxable event in some cases and jurisdictions. The percentage of the dividend you will receive after the appropriate tax rate is applied is detailed below. Stocks and ETFs When a stock pays a dividend, its following morning opening price will be at a lower rate depending on the amount of the dividend. Should our liquidity provider charge or credit us for this gap, we will pass along this adjustment directly to the impacted positions with no markup or markdown. Companies incorporated in the USA: If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 70% of the gross dividend If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend Companies incorporated in the UK: If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 100% of the gross dividend, except for real estate trusts, where you will be credited with 80% of the gross dividend If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend Companies incorporated in Ireland: If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 80% of the gross dividend If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend Companies incorporated in the rest of the world: If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 85% of the gross dividend If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend Indices The price gap of individual stocks causes the index in which the stock is a component to open at a lower rate as well. Should our liquidity provider charge or credit us for this gap, we will pass along this adjustment directly to the impacted positions with no markup or markdown. If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 75% of the gross dividend If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
one stock you own equal to dividend so if i invest in coca cola with 100$(for example) i need to buy position 4 times so the dividend will multiply? instead to buy 100$ in one stocks. im a right?
You get paid dividend on the amount of units you own as far as I understand... So when you open a trade in any company, you're always buying a certain amount of 'units' of stock. $100 could get you 1 unit with company A, or 5 units of company B - it depends how much a unit of stock of each company is. Buying less than 1 unit will also get you dividends - they'll just do the maths and see what you're owed. (As far as I'm aware...)
Hello I’ve just recently stated real trading on EToro after playing about with the virtual! Do you know how much the funds are guaranteed up to if the company fails completely? I l know about stop loses and I’ve set these it’s if the EToro itself goes bankrupt? Also I live in the Republic if Cyprus ( i live in the Part that’s in Europe) does this make a difference? Also thanks for your Videos ( your the reason I’ve tried this trading app you’ve given me confidence in this product! ) x
Hey there - thanks. You'd have to check with Etoro what the insurance is right now - I'm not sure if it has changed. A lot has changed over the last couple of years. It used to be 50,000 protection if you're with Etoro U.K, and 20,000 protection if you're with Etoro Europe (I think) Not sure why there was such a difference, but there was. I'm currently under Etoro Europe, but if i ever put lots of money in, I may try to switch to Etoro U.K by asking them...
Hi thanks I did ask EToro and they did get back to me. These said it was 20,000 guaranteed under the regulations for where I live. Thanks for answering me though ( I couldn’t reply to your answer so I’ve had to reply to my own again! )
Hi, do i get to see the dividend payment info by individual company on etoro? How can i know if my dividend is successfully credited to me in etoro, would love to see it in the next video thanks!
The reporting on where the dividends are coming from and how much you got is really not very good from what I can see. I actually asked eToro about this and seemed to suggest that they knew that it was a bit of a missing feature. If you go to your portfolio, and then click the history tab, on the right hand side of that page are some more menus. You can click the gear icon on the right and select 'account statement' then you select a time period you'd like to see a statement for. From there, at the bottom of the page, you can select 'financial summary' which does show some info about dividends received in that time period, but it's an overall view rather than itemised. There could be an itemised breakdown of dividends you've earned which I just haven't found yet...
Social Trading Vlog oh yes, I found my way there already thankyou so much for the help! But yeah I think it’s still a missing feature in etoro, it would great if they show them in detail individual company stock payout info. Cheers!
the etoro wallet is only for storing crypto currencies. the dividends will be on equity (stocks in private companies) or ETFs (unless they've changed that now) so they wouldn't be reported in your etoro wallet. they would show up in your portfolio, either as part of the fees and refunds tab if youre copying or in your available balance if it was via a manual trade. at least I believe that's where they're paid to. if you go to the help section and look up "account statement" it will show you how to get to your account statement via your portfolio where its possible to see your dividend payments. not easy to find at all, but its there.
Hey there. This was a huuuuge question I kept asking Etoro and in the end, they told me there's no way to actually see it listed as a 'dividend payment' anywhere. They said that if you're copy trading the dividend gets reinvested back into the copy for the person you're copying to use in future trades, and if you're manually trading it should show up in your available balance. But I think there really needs to be a place where you can just see all of your dividend payouts listed. It makes no sense not to be able to track them.
Yeah I came here for the exact same thing. I got a random $2 credited to my account with no explanation, notification, anything. Would be really handy for tax purposes
Hi there, I noticed that you can see the paid dividends as rollover fees at your account statement. It will show under the details column on the ex-dividend date as payment caused by dividend. The dividends will be credited into your available balance. Also, under your each position, there is a total refund which is the accumulative dividends received from that position.
Counter check the dividend amount by checking the company dividend rate x no. of shares x 0.7 (if it is a US company) - that 0.7 or 70% can check at eToro support page where they listed all the dividends factor.
Hello man I just started I have some money on my equity and I do wanna reinvest again how can I do? Looks like I need to deposit again money in but I can’t use the money that I already have
Hmmm, sounds like something's not right there. If your money isn't in active trades and is in your 'available balance' it should be available to use in new trades...
You have to hold in on the ex-dividends date as far as I remember, but actually I focus very little on dividends, so I'd need to watch the video again to see what I found in my research :)
@@SocialTrading Dividends are related to ex-dividends date. I just figured it out and have already received dividends. You have to buy it at least one day before and can sell shares on ex-dividends date. The question is what is going on with eps...the same or different
I'm not sure - I've never tried :) I guess people probably wouldn't start with that much money, but might work up to it gradually, and get more trust in the system over time...
If the dividends are earned within one of your copies, then it'll be reinvested by the person you're copying, but if the dividends came from trades you made manually, then you'll have to reinvest any profits manually as far as I can see. (At least that's how it used to be) - there wasn't any 'DRIP' feature. Some platforms offer that - a "Dividend Reinvestment Plan" www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dividendreinvestmentplan.asp#:~:text=A%20dividend%20reinvestment%20plan%20(DRIP,on%20the%20dividend%20payment%20date.
its something I'd thought about myself - setting up a portfolio with lots of dividend producing assets, and then having them autocompound and reinvest. it is possible through copy trading though, as long as you can find traders who are really focused on dividend producing companies and who are good at managing their portfolio.
As far as I can see, no... It's a good idea though for people who just want to make a whole long term strategy out of dividend based investing. If there is, I haven't found it yet.
Do be careful though, increasing dividend yield can mean increasing dividends, or it could mean depreciating stock price. A bad enough buy could result in a net loss of money, even after getting dividends.
Nice video, btw I think really successfull people in field of dividends are not on eToro, because why woud they give someone 30% of their dividend gains :)
Thanks :) Yeah, I'm just uploading the one which mentions the bit Etoro takes from our dividends. It's a bit much eh. You win, you get 70%, you lose, you get the 100% deducted :) Great.
@@ourtimecomes1902 I'm on etoro for opportunistic trading and on Swissquote for stocks with great dividends (more money on Swissquote tho because it's really safe).. because of the pandemic it's impossible to open an account on Degiro (huge waiting list) and funds are guarantee only up to 20k and on Swissquote up to 100k.. So, I think Swissquote is a good choice and if u want 100chf of trading credit, here is my promo code: vo8rw8 .. Good luck :)
The guy I mentioned in the video XParts seems to be very into it, but I'm not sure how well it's all working for him - you'd have to look at his statistics and check. I'm not sure if there are any who are specifically trying to invest in stocks which give the best dividends over the long term... I'll ask in my next video and see if anyone knows of any.
I'm also one of the popular investors on eToro who you can copy, and the biggest part of my portfolio (at least 80% of my portfolio) is invested in dividend-paying stocks. You can find me on eToro at www.etoro.com/people/arnosnydert. I invest for the long term and I also don't use any leverage on my positions, that way I can keep the risk relatively low and hold onto great quality dividend-paying companies for the long term. 20% of my portfolio is also invested in growth stocks which doesn't pay a dividend, but I always maintain a portfolio of at least 80% dividend-paying stocks. If you're interested in copying me, please feel free to do so. Also read through my portfolio bio and through all my posts on the "Feed"-tab of my eToro Profile to better understand my investment strategy, the suggested copy settings you should use and also to see how and why my investment strategy has evolved into lower risk long term investing of mostly dividend-paying stocks. Have a great day and happy copying! And to @Social Trading Vlog, I really enjoy your videos and you're doing a great job of making the eToro platform easier for all copiers to use. Keep up the good work!
tricky one. If via a copy then it goes into the copy to be rused by the person you're copying. If it's via a manual trade, then to your available balance as far as i understand... There's a place on eToro where you can produce an 'account statement'. If you go into your portfolio, and click on the 'history' tab, on the right of your screen, you'll see the little gear icon, if you click that, you'll see 'account statement' as an option. Enter the dates you're looking for. At the bottom of the next page, there's 'closed positions' and 'financial summary' options. Within those, you can see information on the dividends you've received... It's all very hard to see really. There's still no simple clear way to see your dividends that I can find.
@@SocialTrading does that mean we don't have to include this anymore in filing taxes? If we still do, how do you do it in this case? Your answer would be very helpful, thank you

yup :)
they just do the maths and give us the proportion of the dividend that we're due.

Nope, not that I'm aware of. I believe they're know as DRIP - Dividend ReInvestment Plans, and so far I haven't seen that feature on eToro, which is a shame. I'm sure a lot of people would love that...

Do I have to own the shares on the ex dividend date or ist sufficiene just for a day or two before the ex date?
@Xparts Thank you so much for your time!
@@SocialTrading All right, Thank you!
How do you claim the dividend?Does it go directly to your etoro account?
You just skipped to the trade markets without showing how you get there. Is it on eToro or is it another website? Thank you for sharing insight.
Good point! Yep, same website.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thanks for watching!
Hi and thank you for these great tutorials. I have started investing in Etoro for dividends. I have been receiving dividends over the past few months. My question is that I can't see which share in my portfolio has payed the dividend. Is there somewhere on Etoro that I can see which shares have just paid the dividend into my account?
you could try the account statement... go to your portfolio, click on the history option, then on the far right if the page theres the little gear icon. click that, then click 'account statement' and you can see dividend payouts in there i believe.
and thanks :)
Do indices like the SPX500 give dividends?
Hey there - I had to double check this one, but yep - on this page: www.etoro.com/customer-service/help/75781345/does-etoro-pay-dividends/
there's the line "Your account may be either credited or debited if you are trading a stock, ETF or index that pays a dividend."
so it's a yes :)
Great video mate thanks
Thanks nicolae!
It always seems strange though - like I'm punishing the winner :)
In the past, when i copied someone too risky and they were winning, i definitely kept withdrawing their profits and diversifying by putting it onto lower risk people to lower my risk.
I've also withdrawn money from a copy just because I need the money at times. For now though, I'm just leaving profits with whoever's making them.
and Thanks! :)
Very clear thanks
Thank you :)
Does etoro take fees out of the dividends given ? I think I read somewhere they do !!
Hello, thanks for the video. If we sell the company before they pay dividend will etoro still pay me? 🤔🙏
It depends if you still held the company on the ex-dividend date (I think... my memory's a bit rusty :) )
Here's what I found in the help section:
"When will I receive my dividend payment?
The date on which you will receive your dividend payment depends on the type of asset you are holding:
If you hold a CFD position, the dividend payment will be reflected in your available balance on the ex-dividend date.
If you hold a position secured with the real asset, you will receive the dividend payment in your available balance on the payment date."
Apologies for such a late reply - I only just saw your comment now... You probably know dividends inside out now!
Thank you so much this what I am looking for 👍🏻

@@SocialTrading etoro have give me the answer, still will receive base on amount of unit hold

According to eToro's help section:
"You must hold the position before the market closes two days before the ex-dividend date for the dividend payment to apply."
At least that's what it says right now...

I found this in their help section just now:
"Your account may be either credited or debited if you are trading a stock, ETF or index that pays a dividend.
If you hold a BUY position, you will receive the dividend payment to your available balance.
If you hold a SELL position, the dividend payment will be deducted from your available balance."
Re buying a stock in January and it paying dividends in March - yes, if the trade is open at the right date, you'll get the dividend payout as far as I'm aware. As long as the equity pays dividends, you'll get them if you're holding that equity at the correct ex-dividend date (although it depends if you're holding a CFD or the real asset)
Again from eToro help section:
"You must hold the position before the market opens on the ex-dividend date for the dividend payment to apply.
If you hold a CFD position, the dividend payment will be reflected in your available balance on the ex-dividend date.
If you hold a position secured with the real asset, you will receive the dividend payment to your available balance on the payment date."
Hope that helps a bit :)

sometimes yes and sometimes no. it depends on the asset you're trading, whether you're buying or selling it, and whether you're using leverage..
leveraged trades are all cfds
sell trades are all cfds
copied trades are all cfds
'buy' positions in stocks without using leverage can be the real underlying asset.
'buy' positions in cryptos without leveraged can be the real underlying asset.

Hi, i was wondering whether etoro pays dividends on bond etfs?
Here's the bit from their help section about dividends:
Does eToro pay dividends?
Stocks and ETFs
When a stock pays a dividend, its following morning opening price will be at a lower rate depending on the amount of the dividend.
Should our liquidity provider charge or credit us for this gap, we will pass along this adjustment directly to the impacted positions with no markup or markdown.
Companies incorporated in the USA:
If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 70% of the gross dividend
If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
Companies incorporated in the UK:
If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 100% of the gross dividend, except for real estate trusts, where you will be credited with 80% of the gross dividend
If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
Companies incorporated in Ireland:
If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 80% of the gross dividend
If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
Companies incorporated in the rest of the world:
If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 85% of the gross dividend
If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
Indices
The price gap of individual stocks causes the index in which the stock is a component to open at a lower rate as well.
Should our liquidity provider charge or credit us for this gap, we will pass along this adjustment directly to the impacted positions with no markup or markdown.
If you hold a buy position - you will be credited with 75% of the gross dividend
If you hold a sell position - you will be debited with 100% of the gross dividend
@@SocialTrading ok found it! :)

one stock you own equal to dividend so if i invest in coca cola with 100$(for example) i need to buy position 4 times so the dividend will multiply? instead to buy 100$ in one stocks.
Useful , appreciated it
Hello I’ve just recently stated real trading on EToro after playing about with the virtual!
Cheers!
Must i buy a complete share for a dividend?
Nope, as far as I'm aware, fractions of shares receive dividends.
And where does the dividend go when you're paid, in your eToro wallet?
the etoro wallet is only for storing crypto currencies. the dividends will be on equity (stocks in private companies) or ETFs (unless they've changed that now) so they wouldn't be reported in your etoro wallet. they would show up in your portfolio, either as part of the fees and refunds tab if youre copying or in your available balance if it was via a manual trade. at least I believe that's where they're paid to. if you go to the help section and look up "account statement" it will show you how to get to your account statement via your portfolio where its possible to see your dividend payments. not easy to find at all, but its there.
How I know eToro already paid me dividend? Any setting I need to turn on?

I'm not sure if there are any who are specifically trying to invest in stocks which give the best dividends over the long term... I'll ask in my next video and see if anyone knows of any.
Hi @Justin Selle,
I'm also one of the popular investors on eToro who you can copy, and the biggest part of my portfolio (at least 80% of my portfolio) is invested in dividend-paying stocks.
Where does the dividend show up on you etoro account?
