I have fine semi curly natural hair, 3c 4a and I find lately I need to stretch my hair after my wash day. If I only deep condition and moisturize my hair is hard to comb because it becomes really tangled. So a light blow dry on my freshly washed and conditioned moisturize hair stay detangled. What do you feel about a person like me? Cause I know heat is not healthy to do often… but it’s the only way my hair stays detangled unless I’m wetting and putting product daily is the only other way it would stay detangled. Help!!! lol
Hi, just as long as you are not using high heat and you are not doing this too often, you should be fine. You have found something that works for your hair. If your hair is still doing well with this method, then certainly do what’s best for you.
Hi Queen, I was wondering. I have used your shampoo and conditioner on my hair and it’s Phenomenal! Now for the oil. See cause my hair is funny about protein too, like some of the other ladies. I remember I did a Keratin treatment and my hair did NOT like it at all. Can we use oil as a protein treatment? Can we use your hair oil as a hot oil treatment that acts like a natural protein treatment?
Awwww. Thank you ☺️ so much!! While you can use Lengthy Strands multi-use hair oil as a hot oil treatment, most of the oils in it do not contain proteins. The only oil in my product that has proteins is the marula oil. When it comes to hair care, a lot of times we have to experiment to see what works best. If you don’t use heat on your hair, I say, give it a try. If it doesn’t work out you can always use your traditional protein treatments on your hair.
Hi , Unfortunely when you went live ,i was sleep ,sorry i missed it. I have a issue that i would like your advice on. Back in 2018 tendon and ligament injures to both wrist stopped me from being able to bend all of the center joints in all of my fingers. Also they can not be forcibly bent eighter. About a year went by without me being able to do my hair myself . I that point i looked for the help of a hairdresser to undo the matted knots and then do regular maintenace. I always wear my hair in its curly form and geled down and currently trying to learn how twist outs could work for me. The problem is, recently the hairdresser that is doing my hair, has started presuring me to use her hair products instead of the ones i choose for my hair. I have told her a lot , that i wont be doing that because i dont know what's in hers or those ingedients will be safe for my hair. Also lately she keeps trying to get me to let her straiten my hair and i do not want that at all, especaly while i have spilt ends , and too many ends breaking . I only wear hair straight twice a year. I am very grateful for her help but i should not have to straighten my hair for her sake. Lastly, she detangles roughly and starts at the scalp instead of at the ends and working up I have respecfully mentioned these issues to her ,but the issues still continue. Could you please share advice on how i should conduct a search for a hairdresser in a way that will help me to know how they will handel my hair before i sit in there chair. Thank you for listening.
Oh dear. I’m sorry that you have gone through all this. It sounds like your wishes are being ignored in favor of convenience. That’s not right. Searching for a stylist that suits your particular needs will require extensive research. One of my favorite ways to search is on instagram. I search by various hashtags and include my location. I’ll search something like “hairdetanglingatl” ( I’m in Atlanta) Once I find a stylist I am interested in, I start looking at the entire page and all posts start to finish. I read the comments as well. I will then take the search to google to see reviews on other sites, especially yelp. I would suggest once you find someone you are interested in, have an in person consultation with them so you can get there vibes and see their space as well. It can take some time but there are still really good professional stylist out there. Also, go to google and type in something like “gentle hair stylist” (for your area) and search through those results as well. I pray that God sends you in the direction of someone who can help you with your hair. God Bless! -Tamika ❤️
I used to be like that. I still touch my hair from time to time but not to the point where I am damaging it. I used to break my hair out for from touching it so much. Try putting on a scarf or bonnet when you are at home to create a barrier between your hair and your hands. This will make you think before you touch. Also, figure out the reason why you are touching your hair so much. It could be because of texture, stress, boredom etc. Try to make yourself aware and when you feel your hand reaching up, put it back down. Get something that you can use to fidget with, that might help. Best to you with this. I’m know you can do it!
Skin looks beautiful 😍 I just did a much needed Aphoghee treatment last weekend. Shedding and breakage stopped in its tracks
Awwww. Thank you ☺️ Aphogee is the business!

Hello 👋!!!
Hello!!
I'm always touching my hair and small pieces come out, I can't stop touching it
