I love that you make me laugh and you tell more theory along the way, but in a casual way that maybe one doesn't pick up on at the time, but it builds that knowledge along the way.
Tomofujita I started playing guitar about 2 years ago now I’m taking lessons will work hard to become a professional thanks for the guitar wisdom it’s been of massive help 🙏🏼🙌🏼
Very inspiring even for an intermediate ish like myself lol…. Nice key cause it’s like the lowest on the neck so it’s a great place to call home 🏡 like when playing the blues … it’s a great melody and structure for anyone to write a song as you well demonstrated … dynamics dynamics !!! ❤👍🏻
Thank you Mr Tomo! Always the simplest of things that can just go on forever in so many directions for so many people..true world class teacher and master guitar player..ty for the lesson kind sir..be safe Mr Tomo..🙏🎶🎸☮️♥️🌎
I just saw you at guitar center in Natick! Didn't want to interrupt you (and probably too shy to do so regardless), but letting you know it made my day!
Best thumbnail ever 😯 Your guitar sounds lovely, perhaps it would be cool for people to have a Tomo guide to finding an acoustic that sounds balanced and nice. An instrument to inspire instead of fight (especially stable tuning which can be a nightmare for beginners!)
Sometimes a starter instrument can make or break a beginner's confidence. Like a starter partner 😉. A bad one can drag a person down, and a good one can build a loving relationship
I finally beat my index finger into submission, and am playing F chords for the first time. Looking forward to the world of barre chords. Videos like this remind me of what's in store.
Also, if your nut is not cut well, your string action might be high at the first fret which makes the F barre chord an extra deadly finger killer! Inexpensive guitars often come with high action at the nut, so it might be something to consider.
Excellent, Tomo! Adding in the minor chords (easy to do) and how many songs have been written that way? About a billion (or a few more, LOL!). A new student could learn this and play virtually every song they love! Later, they can expand their knowledge, but this gets them actually playing. Top shelf lesson, once again! 👍 🙏
This is great. It is also very similar to your other tune. The one video where you highlighted the magic of acoustic strumming. I learned to play that one from watching you. You play most of the same chords here but you are strumming them differently. I like both versions!
This has always been my favorite chord shape. So easy and so powerful. I believe there is a great song that uses only this shape, slightly modified called "Drown With Me" by Porcupine Tree. It's awesome that TomoFujitaMusic made a video about this shape.
Sittin' in the mornin' sun I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes Watching the ships roll in Then I watch 'em roll away again, yeah I'm sittin' on the dock of the bay Watchin' the tide roll away, ooh I'm just sittin' on the dock of the bay Wastin' time

So happy to hear that! Thank you so much!
What a great way to teach a beginner to play multiple songs while building calluses and index strength and learning chords roots!
Thank you! Simple is the best!

So happy to hear that. I love the Orangewood Mahogany LIVE. Well set up and super easy to play! The neck never moved! Thank you!
Sounds GREAT TOMO!

Thanks for the huge help sensei! Love your guitar wisdom.
Thank you!
Tomo, you're the best 🙌
Thank you!!
I have the same guitar, the Orangewood Ava Mahogany, and it is such a great guitar for the price.
Great guitar!
It's a great body shape and the mahagany gives it a nice mid-range punch. Sounds great on my tablet, no headphones.
the best part of waking up is coffee and TOMO lessons in the morning thank you for sharing .
So happy to hear that!
Big open sounds. Only missing a camp fire and friends to sing along. Great lesson!!
Glad you enjoyed it! What a great guitar!

Thanks so much! Yes.It's easy. But it's so important to not introduce two things in one lesson. Some people will get lost.
わーぉ。私のめっちゃ好きな弾き方ですこれ♪
ハイコードストロークをフルセーハせずによく1,2のオープン取り入れます。
アコースティックでやると気持ちいいですよね〜。

how have I never thought of that
Yea, open strings are ur friend depending on the chord u play
Now you do!
As usual perfection no matter simple or difficult. Love the guitar as well. May I ask what guitar that is? Thanks for all you do! 🙏🏼
It's an orangewood Oliver mahogany acoustic guitar
Thanks so much! Orangewood Ava Mahogany LIVE

Check out "The Nile Song" by Pink Floyd for a heavy song that I think used only this shape as well.
The guitar sensei!
Thank you!
Your acoustic sounds pretty good,.did you use little bit reverb?
I don't think he's using any effect, it's just the room sound, New strings make a huge difference in tone if your strings are old.
@@brushstroke3733 yeah i think so
Just acoustic guitar.
I do this all the time 😁
Awesome!
Thought you were gonna play perfect by simple plan for a second there sensei.
Thank you!
love the acoustic videos
Thank you!
Nice ..my first barre chord besides Bm..😁
Good job!
Thanks so much for your content❤️ can I confirm your only baring the low E the the two high strings are open ?
You're very welcome! Thank you for sharing! Yes top two strings are open.

Part 2 you can show how to remove the middle for a Minor chord. And do 1645 and 1625. Part 3 a 7th...
Good job!
The thumbnail looked like just a major chored, then the video showed it was much easier and sounded good...11 minutes of jamming, basically. Nice.
This is so amazing! Thank you!
