She seems so sweet. You can tell she genuinely loves creating bento boxes. I love it when people are so passionate about something. It’s so wholesome 💗
This Lady seems so nice and kind! She just gave off a wholesome and comforting vibe, her smile is so nice and seeing the love she puts in the Bento Boxes really comes through and you can tell how much she enjoys her profession
I have no idea what to write so Im giving y’all a waffle recipe: 2 eggs 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 3/4 cups milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 tablespoon white sugar 4 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Directions: Preheat waffle iron. Beat eggs in large bowl with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in flour, milk, vegetable oil, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla, just until smooth. Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix onto hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Serve hot.
I would love to have time to make bento boxes but honestly thinking about nutritional balance of all of the ingredients, preparing six to seven different things and putting them together nicely in a box is a bit daunting. My parents both worked full time and came back late when I was growing up and I was always jealous of the kids who'd bring cutely-packed lunches to school.
I'm a teacher at a preschool in Japan. Here there are many things you can buy, as well as leftovers. Many of the smaller bento boxes only have 3-4 dishes. Fried rice or yakisoba, as well as Japanese omlette, boiled carrot and broccoli, and a meatball or two. And possibly a cherry tomato (or two), edame on a fancy pick, all different types of fish cake, or a small piece of cheese. Or inarisushi with broccoli, stewed spinach and corn, sauteed onions and mushrooms, and a small croquette. These are all just examples I've seen. I've also seen left over pasta with black beans, two tiny hamburgers, boiled carrot and broccoli. It doesn't need to be super fancy. The ones she makes are special and for adults who will go to special shops.
Lol ikr. I clicked on it seeing the BuzzFeedVideo label but when I was watching it, I thought it was Insider. I only remembered that it wasn’t when I read your comment. 😂
my mom used to make me these for lunch until other kids started making fun of me for bringing asian food to school. I stopped bringing them but I wish I never did cuz they were actually so good
I’m Asian and I want to tell u to eat whatever u want and don’t let people tell u that they are just jealous that their parents don’t have the time to make one
Truth that means like 10 different recipes based on what u put in there. basic 'recipe' is rice topped with watever. bento can be translated (not literally but like what ppl refer to) as lunchbox. so as theres no 'recipe' for a lunchbox, the basis u can say is a sandwich with snacks, same goes for bentos!
Please make more videos like this! It's educational in so many ways: culture, nutrition, respect for other people... and it's so Zen to watch and listen to.
bento box is definitely an art form. i loved it when my mom used to make bento box or dosirak for lunch for me like 30 years ago. lunch time was the best. all my white friends were fascinated by it. bento box, fruit rollup and a box of delmonte fruit juice. i wish there was a bento box restaurant in montreal.
Who knew bento box preparation could be an ASMR trigger? The slo-mo helps a lot, too ... Anyone else getting tingles watching her gently place each item? 😊💕🍤🍣🍱 ... I'd be so happy and grateful if I would be given a bento box for school each day 🙇♀️ All I got was some fruit in a plastic bag ... if I was lucky 😔
This is the same way my mother cooked lunch for me when I was in school, similarity is rice, since I belong to india and the only difference is of indian recipes and snacks. I appreciate this woman's initiative. Keep up the good work man!!! You just made me remember the efforts my mother would put in making my lunch box for school at morning 4. She would give us everything in one tiffin box. Hostel life sucks! Makes u remember homemade food. 😥😥😥 I love your work though!😘
Bento box......my everyday meal. I don't want out of market, but that she made looks colorful and harmonious. I wish I could have that for lunch for life.
Wow, very well prepared & very time consuming. I usually just put rice, left over dinner & tofu for my husband lunch. Hahaha very quick & easy but also healthy. Of course not as appealing as this bento box.
This style of video reminds me a lot of 'Great Big Story' channel. This was a nice video, I agree with the other comment that it was very relaxing to watch her put the box together and tell her story.
The style of this video is very similar to the style of the Netflix series Chefs Table. To anyone who liked this kind of video and doesn't know the show, should look into it. I really enjoyed it.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how adorable this woman is?!!
Now I'm hungry,and I just ate.
Meow Rchl Haha same
Exactly!!!!
her calm voice and cute accent combined with the video clips of the bento boxes makes this very satisfying😍😉🙂😋🍱
She is so precious...
Watching her prepare the box was so relaxing and nice

You can always meal prep on Sundays, and put together bento boxes for the whole week
Or you could make some from left overs in ten minutes. I've done it and they looked nice enough for my friends to be jealous.

bento boxes are supposed to be made with the leftover from the dinner of the night before
why did i think this was insider the whole time i was watching this?
Lol ikr. I clicked on it seeing the BuzzFeedVideo label but when I was watching it, I thought it was Insider. I only remembered that it wasn’t when I read your comment. 😂
Buzzfeed copies everyone
Lol same
Lol Saaaaame 😅
Ahem army?
To everyone critizing her for the way she talks, try being that fluent in a foreign language
JenCath Who????
Literally no one was criticizing
shahida islam mostly likely they got thumbs downed.so you have to look
shahida islam There are a good number of people making fun of how many times she said “bento box”
MaditheHowell How does that have literally anything to do with the way she speaks or her accent?
Her ring is pretty 😂 anyone notices that?
Zirou Chen it's almost as big as the Bento box. 😂
it's hard not to
To make the Bento Box you must be the Bento box 🙏
When you think about it, you are a bento box. You have different foods like liver, meat, brains and a heart inside of a box(skin)
AestheticFlames 😂
Hahahahahhaa this comment is so asian xD
thesuper hellminator yea no im not a plant, dont got seaweed in me
IN SOVIET RUSSIA BENTO BOXES MAKE YOU!!!
I dig the oboe solos in that song.
my mom used to make me these for lunch until other kids started making fun of me for bringing asian food to school. I stopped bringing them but I wish I never did cuz they were actually so good
Alice Hong Yea same, they would say unnecessary things about the food and the sad thing is my mom thought I didn’t like her food.
B B yeah definitely let too many people get over my head but Ive learned from it now! :)
I’m Asian and I want to tell u to eat whatever u want and don’t let people tell u that they are just jealous that their parents don’t have the time to make one

I really enjoyed this video. So pure. Her story is as equally beautiful as her talent and passion for bento boxes.
I'm surprised this isn't on Tasty.
because Tasty would ACTUALLY teach you how to make it, not about the history of it and the origins and the purpose.
Insider perhaps
How adorable!! I love her back story ❤️❤️
She’s so pure
These are sooo aesthetically pleasing

This is borderline poetic.
That looks amazing! Maybe one day she will expand to the west coast (Preferably San Diego) I'm glad to see bento box videos on this channel. :)

Yup. Making bento box are very compricating.
I always love bento boxes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was so satisfying to watch I want to watch more and I want to eat it now
Yas!! It takes a lot of effort and time
I love it but I wonder how much she charges given how much time and care she puts into making them
i mean it takes her 30 mins to prep each one not including how much time it actually takes to make each one. (10 boxes= 5 hrs)
great, now i’m hungry...
