The state of Louisiana then appropriated this money to the city of New Orleans. Unfortunately, due to the ignorance of residents in New Orleans, they continued to vote for Democrats who were running the city into the ground. As predicted, they mismanaged these funds that were intended for the levies. Instead, they lined their own pockets and enriched themselves.
