my band is doing The Lion King this year, and we have a trumpet singing the beginning, she's really good. I like this one, it's almost like ours, but it also isn't.aha. :)
it was 2 points. your line beat us by .7 but the judge tape for drums was weird. dude barley even talked and if he did he just said "oh cool" "yeah!" "that was hot" "that role sounded cool" stupid stuff... haha
they announced the wrong scores. it wasnt 18 points what they did was is they read the band score that didnt have the battery score added to it. but i forgot what the final score was. but it was pretty close.
Hey I'm the sax. I think you are absolutely right. I could never get it to sound like i wanted and I have no idea why they wanted me to use the soprano. It never did sound good to me so I can imagine what other people must think. just letting you know...
@KatieSangoxXx same here! I will be a senior next year and I am begging my band director to do lion king for my last year of marching band :,) That would be completly perfect for me.

okay after watching the guard in the batman show and then watching the guard here.. big difference!
too much soprano and not enough bass. our brassline has way too many trumpets. not enough low brass.
