CCR certainly was hard to get through in the beginning but by the end it became a lot more fun. Broken HP Limits, Damage Limits, etc... Wayyyy too many side-missions imo though, but it's a portable game, so you're likely expected to just chip away at it here and there. I enjoyed it overall but it certainly was very experimental. Glad the story is very short because I dunno if I could handle 50 hours of this game, haha.

The wall hugging exploit is actually a carry over from the originally from the psp version. Probably a carry over from lifing the original version's code. But i like to rhink the devs intentionally left it in for faithfulness.

I loved Crisis Core on the PSP, and knowing they only thing that would be upgraded was the graphics, I was like "okay what the hell? I'll buy it again".
Then I heard the new voice actors.
Then I stopped playing 3 hours in and haven't looked back. They upgraded one thing while downgrading another. I was disappointed in my purchase, tbh.

I will say I prefer Zack's original voice actor more than the current one. New Zack doesn't do a bad job in terms of performing, the script is just super awkward in that classic "this is translated from Japanese and trying to match lip flaps" way that used to happen a lot in the 2000s, but as cruel as it may be to say, I just don't love the actual sound of his voice. Lol

Agreed depending on what you're doing. I'd say for a normal playthrough yeah, Reunion is harder, but in Remake Intergrade is more difficult in terms of hard mode and the challenges.

It certainly is the prototype for what came later. They didn't make improvements to the gameplay or mechanics, so while it looks more or less modern, it still feels like an experimental PSP game.
