    10! I am only in Gongaga. But its already so so good. Damn. Hey SQUARE ENIX. This is how you should do FF.
    Your FF16 is also really good. But too safe. Too small. Too linear. But very goor. But it misses the beats that you perfectly executed in FF7rebirth.
    THIS is the way you should do all FFs.
    FF7 Rebirth is truly incredible. A masterpiece

      Ps. As a FF7 materia pro, I literally bought many of each materias and full focus on weapons and bangles that has as many materia slots throughoit the game to level as many materia as possible. This is KEY.
      This is why I dont have to swap anything.

    Idk if square did it on purpose. But there is no timelines. There just dream worlds that don’t necessarily exist in a sense. That all have the vision of the the world ending in them In order for there to be all kinds of fear and despair corrupting the white side of the lifestream to make it weak so it won’t be able to defend itself from the meteor when aerith summons it to try to defend the planet In the real world. So there is no timelines.

    The mini games are optional but if you want access to a lot of materia or exp or AP, it necessitates playing these mini games, especially the Chadley related Ubisoft-style ones and the game has the wildlife and Chadley badgering you to do them.

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  4 месяца назад

      I know this is anecdotal, but a friend of mine did a completionist run of the game ahead of me. The difference in levels between his end game level at a 100% of all areas, and my end game level of around 40-50% of all areas, was only 5 levels. The EXP and AP really don't end up mattering in terms of beating the game. Fortunately, you also don't need any materia that Chadley provides you with either; so Rebirth is a game you can just hard critical path to the finish if you want to.

      The mini games are ridiculous in this game like the proto relic quest arc where it makes you play fort condor.and there are several times where you have to compete mini games to move the story forward.i hated that.a mini game should aways be optional and should never lock equipment or special items behind them I mean shit 2 weapons are missable if you don't do 2 mini games.

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  4 месяца назад

      @@jasonscott6067 I think you're also confusing mini games with sidequests. There are multiple weapons/armor pieces you get as equipment through side quests, and those sidequests entail minigames. But the weapons also aren't necessary, just cool to have.
      (Spoilers)
      In terms of required minigames, there are only 6-7 I can recall over the course of a 70+ hour game. The Junon Parade, 2-3 of your choice to get tickets for swimsuits in Costa Del Sol, Fighting Dio in the Gold Saucer, one Chocobo Race, and the Loveless Stage Play.
      You could also count the on-rails shooter in North Corel, but you also can just do literally nothing and ignore the sequence if you want.

    Most of the stories leading up to like the last hour or so is excellent. The ending unfortunately turned out the way it is due to how the devs kinda trapped themselves by making the game a trilogy. That being said, I think the lost impact of Rebirth's ending will return and be magnified in part 3 if the devs can pull it off and I'm looking forward to see what they can do with it. Everything else was almost perfect though. This game is truly magical taking everything into account (world, music, combat, characters, minigames etc etc)

    I don't get how people get sucked into swapping materia problem. You can get materia from every cities vendor, combat simulator, vending machines, mini games, etc. Materia is practically falling off the trees. The only way you don't have enough materia for all your characters is if you purposely ignore padding out your characters arsenal. You would have to skip all the side content. Which you can do but this games side content has lots of incentive rewards that include materia, folio upgrades, potions you can't get from vendors, upgraded summons, special queen's blood cards, certain weapons, etc. So essentially you can skip the side content but.....why? Even the OG 40hr 1997 game had tons of side content. This has probably the most of any game ever but it's worth it to do a couple per region just for some cash flow and boost to arsenal materia and folio SP. I feel like if you just play the main story then its like buying a combo meal from McDs and only eating the fries. Like okay but it's your money your flushing.....

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  4 месяца назад

      I always include a significant and ongoing spoiler warning after the glitch/stability section, varying from late-game to end-game spoilers. The reason it's a "from this point forward" warning is because certain game mechanics or music may only come into play much later in the game, which is why I do Mechanics and Visual/Sound after the Narrative.

The included scenes in the intro hints of major spoilers, context is not everything when what we see is enough to ruin the "anticipation".

    I beat the game last night and would give it a 7. I played the original game 23 years ago. Rebirth has too many mandatory stupid mini games. The combat is fun but flawed and it's basically a button masher. I miss turn based. Overall the game feels more light hearted and quirky like Kingdom Hearts. I miss the dark, depressing atmosphere of the original game. Nobuo also had a far better soundtrack. Rebirth has some good songs but most songs are meh. The story is so convoluted too. This game is not a masterpiece at all. I enjoyed it generally speaking but the flaws are a bit too much.

    A few minor minor alterations to the story, that's watch you call this butchering of the story?... Only a few? 🙄 Yeah, Zack still being alive and SIX Seperate Multiverse timelines count as only a few minor alterations. If FFVII Rebirth only has a few minor alteratinons to the plot, according to you then what would be considered Major alterations. Just wondering? 🤔

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  4 месяца назад

      Spoilers
      The story as shown in Rebirth plays out all of the same plot beats of the original FF7 in the same order despite the alternate timelines plot. Things have been added to the story, but little to nothing has been taken away. Kalm, The Swamp/Midgarsormer, Junon, Costa Del Sol, North Corel, The Gold Saucer, Dyne, Cosmo Canyon, Nibelheim etc etc. The minor alterations are moreso changes in character dialogue or interactions rather than even referring to the additions to the story, and visiting Gongaga being required rather than optional. The major alterations are three things.
      One, Cid is introduced much earlier than he is supposed to be. Now we have more time to spend with the character and we get a more fleshed-out backstory that connects him to Aerith in addition to his arc that will play out in Rocket Town in the final game.
      Two, Yuffie is no longer an optional character, and will always join the party regardless of the dialogue options chosen. Her entire plotline surrounding her betraying and robbing the party even before Cait Sith was removed because they didn't put Wutai into Rebirth. It'll probably come up in some capacity in the next game, although I doubt she'll mount a full on betrayal that strips the entire party's materia again.
      And three, Aerith's death is left ambiguous in terms of what actually happened, and we're essentially left with a Schrodinger's Aerith. She is simultaneously both alive and dead based on timeline. Although in the timeline we finish the game in, it's fairly clear that she is dead and has become a sort of Lifestream ghost alla her and Zack's appearances in Advent Children. Zack also unbinds himself from fate and is transported from timeline to timeline through the lifestream during the final boss, which also would lead to Zack ending up in the same position as Aerith- unified in the lifestream, but separate in timeline.

    Why r u spoiling the game

    • @lonewolfex
      @lonewolfex  4 месяца назад

      If you mean by the intro, I'm not spoiling the game. If you're a fan of FF7 and know the story, then you already know the spoilers and what I showed you is nothing new. If you're someone new to the series and know nothing, then you don't get any meaningful information about the story from the intro that will affect your blind playthrough.
      If you mean by the rest of the video, it's an in-depth 45min review. If I didn't spoil the story in a video where the goal is to systematically break down the categorical philosophy of how it was made, then I did something horrible wrong. There are always spoiler warnings for the narrative section onwards in these videos for that reason, because some visual/sound/mechanical elements may only come into play after certain story moments take place.

      @lonewolfex I meant how arieth dies. With all the Nomura ghost bullshit I didn't know if she would die and even if she did die I never saw how she died in rebirth so that kinda is spoiling that part of the game. Because that's probably the most heart string pulling part in the game.just my opinion

      @@jasonscott6067 You didn't see her die though. You saw Cloud clash with Sephiroth when the attack happened, so you don't know whether the attack got stopped or not. If anything, bringing what used to be her certain death into question is the only real spoiler; the potential that it might be different.
