These scams are so frustrating. I’ve seen eBay sold listings where someone paid over $2,000 on 1976 quarters under the guise that it’s “super rare and valuable.” I work at a coin shop, and we’ve seen so many people come in here with junk coins and banknotes believing it’s worth thousands because some eBay sold listings or a Facebook group said it was.
I guess I don't understand the assumption that all the people who are buying these notes are immediately running to a local dealer to THEN find out what it is worth.
@@jeffp8042 It’s certainly NOT immediately. A local dealer would never tell you that these were worth money. If you asked them BEFORE you bought it, they would tell you it’s worthless. If you buy it AFTER they tell you it’s worthless then you’re an idiot. People who buy stuff like this are known for making bad financial decisions. When they are broke, they will take these worthless items to a dealer to sell. It could be days or YEARS later. Either way, still WAY too late to leave negative feedback.
If you intend to sell it later it's just a good way to find out the true value so you know what price to ask. That's all. There is alot of issues to determine the condition and rarity of the note. Unless you are an expert and know how to grade a bill you don't know.
I enjoy watching all of your video's. Im a collector too and sometimes buy from eBay sellers. Im glad you are educating others like me so i dont make bad purchases from scamers. Its to bad eBay doesn't care what trash is listed, They are making money from everything that sells be it trash or treasure. eBay should do more to screen this garbage and ban the sellers. Buyers Beware... Thank You. Keep up the good work.
Well…. another scammer ( Yes! I said it) bites the dust! And I see him crashing & burning if this is an example of his merch!! Question…… do you think there’s a special area in HELL for all of these scammers to go ??? Steve, my fr it end, thanks for another fantastic video!! Blessings always 🙏😊❤️
Hey Steve, completely off topic, but I’m looking into buying another note. I’m stuck between a $1,000 New Orleans obsolete in great condition or a $500 CSA in good condition. What do you think I should go with? I don’t have any high denominations other than the new $1,000 and $500.
@@storey6 Eventually, you ( or who ever you leave then to) will have to sell the notes. I think it would be easier to resell the CSA. I’m a huge fan of the $500 so I was trying to think of an unbiased answer. 👍🤑
Thanks for sharing another great video.
As a new collector (few weeks now) I'm learning a lot from you. Thank Y O U verrry much
Once people have been scammed it’s really hard if not impossible for them to admit that fact, collecting or otherwise.
