Looks so great!! Just a few tips from a fellow DIYer. You absolutely dont have to do any of these but just things Ive learned! 1) You can get banding to go on the sides of the wood to really finish it off since you can see the layered plywood. Its cheap, super easy to apply with an iron! But it really elevates it and makes it look like a solid counter. 2) Then you can seal all the wood with a clear poly just so it holds up over time and is easier to clean. I recommend water based 3) You can also add a small hole in the counter to feed your pendant light cord through so it's hidden. 4) And finally, you can spray paint your brackets gold to match the theme and touch up the screws with gold paint so it all blends in. Just suggestions, looks amazing!

It’s cute having a small laundry room is considered a “small space” haha. Girl, that’s a ton of space because so many of us don’t even have a laundry room and are still doing laundry in the garage 😂. Looks nice!

I just found your channel and loved the renovation! Just FYI, the edges of the plywood can be hidden with a wooden strip that you can buy at most hardware stores. It’s already the perfect width and color, and you iron it on to hide the raw edge. It’s great to make it look smooth and flat. Also, there are rechargeable light bulbs that go into regular light fixtures and have remotes if you want to get rid of the cord to your cute ceiling lamp/light fixture! Enjoy!
I just painted my Mom's laundry room walls and added another shelf..This gives me more inspiration on decor styling which I haven't done yet..Great job Brandon..Allison your videos are so aesthetic and so cozy and love your decor styles ..❤️

Love the laundry room make over. Your style is so cute. We did a diy countertop above our washer in dryer in an old house. My advice would be to have a cut out in the back to have quick access to the water shut off. We had a water line issue and having quick access was very helpful :)

Also adding a little piece of trim to the edge of the shelves so you don’t see the raw plywood edge would make it look SO good and professional!! 💘

They sell wood tape that you iron on to cover the edge of your shell. Also they have cord covers that are paintable. Maybe bring your cord up to the ceiling and up and around on the top of the window where the wall meets the ceiling and then drop down to the plug.
Sure is pretty room,but its not done ,you need stain on the shelves or even clear varnish.love your paint color!!!!👍👍

Great laundry makeover loving the sage green color good choice.. May I suggest "wood edge banding " to go on the outer edge of top shelves, this is applied with an iron it melts the glue right on... since it is real wood you can stain or paint it.. you can remove excess banding with straight blade... I purchased mine from Lowe's Improvement... I think you'll be pleased with the outcome... keep the diy coming.. great job!!!

Omg I’m obsessed. I noticed we have a lot of the same things! And the same taste in decorating. I have the same vacuum, hangers, bed frame/headboard, Smeg toaster, etc. I also roll up my towels for that hospitality effect haha. I love this make over. It looks so good! And I love the aesthetic. If you would like to make the countertop and shelves a little more professional you could fill the nail holes with wood filler and put trip pieces on the edges. Also I would recommend sealing the wood so it keeps longer and is easy to clean:) I also appreciate your heart for Jesus🫶🏻

Hey love you guys you are such an adorable couple! I have a suggestion for the chord on the light. I think if you drill a hole in the first shelf it will allow you to follow the wall all the way down. Then you can just run it along the base board. If you don’t like seeing it you can get those chord covers. Also for the hole you can get one of those desk hole covers so it doesn’t look unfinished.

It looks beautiful. I just hate wires showing, that's the only thing I would change or find a solution for the wires not showing. Great job! I'm sure you guys saved so much money on doing it yourselves.😊

The fact that laundry rooms in USA don't have a sink it's such a huge culture shock for me. If you guys have, say, dirty shoes were do you clean them? in the kitchen sink? do you have a sink elsewhere? Latin countries always have a utility sink and we use it for a thousand things we would never use the kitchen sink for, soaking clothes, cleaning hard stains, cleaning shoes... by the way, love the way it looks, it seems so gorgeous ❤️

A smart plug for your pendant light would make things more accessible! All of our lamps and or hard to reach lights are on smart plugs. We can use voice commands to turn them off and on and we use an app.

A tip for next time youre painting which helped me soo mucch! After you tape everything off you paint the edges with the base color (so in your case the matching white) so when you paint over it with your new color, the base color already bled through the open spots and your new color wont bleed. You get a perfectly clean like when you pull up the tape. Feel like that explanation was kind of confusing so hope it made sense. And I absolutely lovee the color choice
