When I look at these old cars. I think about all of the families that went on vacations. Just going to the grocery store. And all of the history behind these cars.
Some of those cars fixed up are worth a fortune today. I remember prowling round a junkyard in 1960 or there abouts when I was around 12. I found an old Marmon from the late 20’s. Not a wreck, could have been restored. Probably could have got it for a couple hundred bucks. Do you know what a Marmon is worth in 2021?

I like those old timey urban junkyards behind a picket fence between two brick buildings, makes me feel like I'm in a looney toons cartoon.
I love this video! A sight for soar eye !
Ahh the good 'ol days when you could go to the local neighborhood junkyard and find a cannon.
Wish I could find something like that today. What a gold mine it would be.
many of these places still exist man has to go into the back country and find them. I have found such places myself. Az. Co. Nev. N.M. Tex
wow.so much I'd love 2 have.if only each piece could tell it's story.
Boy this is the era of Moe,Larry, and Curley IF there ever was one! My Grandad Maynard as a very young man! Born april 13th. 1905----Dec.20th. 1985
The saddest video I have ever watched....especially when they burn the interiors to get rid of the wood and seats.....
Back when you could buy an old car cheap and fix it up. WOW
I wonder how many of those old junkyards are still around? And how many, if any of those old cars or trucks got saved??
like the music
Some of these pictures are from the metal drives they had during ww2. My grandfather helped pick it up and load it on rail cars.

Its funny how all the cars are on their side...probably to have access to mechanical stuff and no one was worried about saving body panels.
