  • Make your Jeep look edgier with this unpainted DV8 Offroad Heat Dispersion Vented Hood. It features unique styling that makes your off-roader stand out from the rest of the Jeep crowd. It also comes unpainted, so you can customize it with the color that suits you. Moreover, its highly functional heat extractor vents help prevent engine overheating, so you can push your vehicle to the limit, even on the most punishing terrain.
Off-road adventures often cause the engine to heat up more than usual. This hood comes with a dual vented design to help dissipate engine heat more efficiently and maintain normal temperatures under the hood. Apart from that, the dual vents have been specially designed to add an even more aggressive quality to your Jeep’s appeal. terrain.jp/3mu...

I just bought this pretty easy to put on today 4/10/2021. My Jeep has the same color but the entire front has after market bumper, black armor fender flares, black gladiator grill so the black looks great on it. I was so excited I put it on with the black primer . I am getting painted black but nothing glossy. Love it.

I have the dv8 and it looks great i would recommend having a bodyshop install it though mine doesn't line up exactly with the fenders but it still looks great

Great instructional video! Even though I'll be installing a different hood, this was helpful in knowing what tools I'll need and how to successfully remove my factory one. Oh and BTW... Merideth has an amazing smile!! :)

You can totally hear the sound of the REGULAR STEEL HOOD. 🤫 If I buy this ill buy all new parts with it including the hinge. That way you can swap it back over quick if its a lease or want to use it on a newer Jeep.

Can those side vents be added to other hoods? Cutting and trimming of the hood would obviously be required, and that is fine.

This type of hood design was popular back in the 80's on the Chevrolet Z-28 and Corvette. Those had 4 rectangular slots on each side instead of three. My dad had one on an 84' Z-28 that was pretty sick. Had lights in each slot that was controlled by control box inside where you could change the speed and pattern of the lights. Yep, it was some next level night-rider sh@t back in the day lol.

Can you imagine if you had this hood along with an angry eyes grill? It would be hideous!

Should be able to buy the new hood set up for a hard top with the lines and shit ran already, or without for soft top or if the person just simply doesn't care about it.

Can you mount the gas struts on this hood and get rid of the hood prop

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  7 месяцев назад

Yes, you should be able to mount hood struts to this hood. Depending on the type and brand though you may have to do some minor modification.

Thanks for the instructional video. I always find your video very informative. I am looking for a new Hood for my Jeep Sahara Unlimited Altitude 2023 but I think this one is kind of too much for my taste. I looks good but I feel there is a better option.

What about rain? Doesn't the engine get soaked?

  • @josema7111

Hi, super nice hood, im thinking about getting it, but i have a question.
I live in south Florida, and in the summer's it rains like crazy, so my question is, i noticed the vents are straight through, so when it rains hard, the water will go into the engine , will that be a problem???. I know you can take the jeep into water, but still i was wondering if rain every day will cause any damage to the engine???

TOTL Innovations actually pioneered this design. Their hood has rails to catch the water. I have it on my JK and it stays dry even when driving in crazy storms.

I like the hood but the pearl blue paint alone to paint this is over $400 just for the paint. So double the cost of the hood.
