Did this hood have to be "massaged" into place, BEFORE paint, so that it fit perfectly, or was it just taken outta' the box, painted, and installed ? I watched another video about this hood (by Extreme Terrain), that said it should be taken to a body shop, for "massaging" , BEFORE paint, so that it fits well, without stressing the paint. This install was given a 3 out of 3 "wrenches" for difficulty, and wasn't recommended for the Do It Yourselfer". Any thoughts? Anyone ??

Great install and video! Im guessing those are ADD front fenders... What did you do to fill in the gaps that the fenders don't cover?
Does this hood match up with the factory air intake?
Those hinge bolts are hard to take off without stripping them so I’m stuck at the step I need help

You should definitely make sure the hood fits to your car first BEFORE you paint it. Because if it doesn’t fit correctly and you paint it first, you can’t send it back.
Update: My DV8 hood came in today for my ‘22 Sahara JL. I took it to the body shop to get color matched and before they started painting it, they made sure it fit correctly… and it did not. Hood seemed warped or something. On one side there was a gap between the hood and the Jeep itself causing me not to be able to close the hood latch on the one side. I ordered it from Extreme Terrain and am currently in the process of having another one shipped to me. They offered to reimburse me to go get the hood “repaired” at another facility, but I declined. For $850, the fitment needs to be perfect, if there is a such thing. Not sure if anyone else had this problem, but I’m hoping I don’t have the same problem with the replacement.
anyone know which fenders those are and where is best to order the hood from and does it come with windshield washer nozzles and insulation under the hood? thx!
The fenders are from ADD addictive desert designs; this comes with the heat insulation material for under the hood. You will need to re-use the factory spray nozzles.

Is there any problem with raining weather ? Can it prevents water from going inside engine through ventilation holes ?
