Hi, I own the Clio and would like to write you something about it.
I have the 67HP variant, by the way, if you buy the car without turbo the best choice, because the 75HP variant only brings something if you really drive it with a high RPM, because it offers no extra power in the lower ones.
For the car with heated seats, full LED, fog lights, cruise control etc. etc. I paid only 15,000. Makes you wonder how is that possible, especially considering this equipment and build quality. The point is that Renault has been very smart here and knows that this car will most likely be used by only one or two people at most. For this reason, there is also less comfort in the rear - simply managed. I love this solution by Renault, because I use the car only maximum with my girlfriend. Best equipped for us, everyone has heated seats, it has air conditioning, etc. Best of all I find that everything is also geared to the driver, so the passenger should not be so involved according to Renault logic, and I like that!
About the infotainment system: Yes, the built-in processor is very lame, it's annoying. Remedy is the use of the steering wheel control, since this strangely often responds better than the display. On the other hand; I have the variant without navigation system, the car has a super integration for Android Auto or Apple Carplay. Thus, I understand Renault's pricing policy to install a cheap processor, because if you use the aforementioned software, the processor of the smartphone is finally needed, and since the car is intended primarily for younger people and they usually have a powerful smartphone, I find the decision then again good! Because so again more money was left for the comfort or the build quality. I mean, the car costs in this equipment about 1500-2000 euros more than the equally equipped Dacia Sandero, and in the difference between the build quality and the implementation of the equipment lie whole universes!
In conclusion, I can say: For young people a perfect car! In an emergency also a small family car! Otherwise, a super build quality and well-designed technology. Above all, however, I advise against the higher motorizations, contrary to the many comments here! Yes, 90-100-130 HP are great, but at what price? I live in the country and get along great on the highway! Often I'm even faster, because just because there are no speed limits in Germany does not mean that all people drive Formula 1. With the 67 HP I get super over land, highway and especially through the city. For me, despite the criticism of the engine from many sides based on my own accumulated experience a super all-rounder, because the lower motorizations are also significantly cheaper in insurance! Likewise, a Sauger without turbo breaks down less quickly ;)
For those who think that you can not overtake with it or similar: Yes, you can! But yes, sometimes you just have to bring a little patience, but since I'm not on the road to kill myself or others I wait very happy to one or the other vehicle. Just drive relaxed; perfectly possible with this car!

Good top speed for such a weak engine, shows that the new Clio is very aerodynamic. But almost 16 seconds to 100 is dangerously slow. The idle on the 3 cylinder is so jerky and that's before you even get into how slow it is. Also the user interface on the media / radio screen is horrible... you have to click 2 buttons before you can even adjust the volume if you are a passenger.

Now, I don't know what country you live in, but here in Germany there is often no speed limit. Nevertheless, after 9 months with the Clio, the 67 hp is quite enough for me. I'm still mostly in the fast lane, since most Germans tend to drive at the recommended speed (130 km/h in our country). In any case, you can not just pull out when one comes from behind, and you have to wait longer times behind a car that you want to overtake, so as not to slow anyone down, but once up to speed you actually stay at the high speed. My cruising speed with the Clio is about 160 km/h, now and then also 170/80 km/h. You always need a good observation of the traffic and I prefer to wait longer than to slow someone down. This argument with the fast overtaking thanks to the increased power is an absolute luxury problem that I do not need. The lower power has even made me a more defensive and attentive driver, whereas with my Golf with 150 hp I did like to really push it and do riskier maneuvers that I would never do with the Clio. In the end, I feel safer on the road with the Clio.
Of course, more horsepower is an advantage in traffic, but in the end I save money and repair costs, because I drive it as a naturally aspirated car and not a high-powered one.
My forest car is a Dacia Logan with exactly the same engine, only with turbo and 90 hp. The difference is not so huge and the turbo will probably have to be replaced at 100,000km anyway.

I totally agree it handles nice but it is underpowered.
We also drove the 130 hp version which was actually fun to drive.

@@TopSpeedBrothers good test , but , yes you'd better drive a 130 hp ! lol ...this engine is for zen and cool drive with a low consumption petrol ...lol ...but the engine 's sound is like a " competetion 's engine " ...only a 3 cylinders 75 hp ...but not bad for my opinion 😉👍
