While I don't agree that it's a masterpiece I do think that the multiplayer is a much smoother and better version of MW2. People hated cause it was too similar when it came out while ignoring the fact that it was just an improved version of their favorite game.
Yeah it was a balanced version of MW2. Great campaign but most people the last mission of campaign that Price killed Makarov. MW2’s campaign was iconic but MW3’s multiplayer was more balanced.
Unpopular opinion: Remaking every map from the old cods that were good is a sign that you’re past your prime and should probably stop making new games. They’re trying to live in the past with those old games they made and it’s not working. Tell me your out of ideas without telling me you’re out of ideas and than people wonder why cod sucks compared to the old days. They’re out of ideas boys… been that way for a while. We’ll never get anything close to Cod4-Bo2 ever again, that was their peak.
I recently replayed all the CoD games I still have access to (which is most of them) Cold War is definitely my favorite. I've been playing it every night since then. Its amazing. CW, B01, and AW are my top 3 now.

Yup! I have literally said the same thing. The game felt new, especially because of the new engine at the time. It felt more gritty and realistic etc. it's still the best Cod since. Let's see if Black ops 6 tops it.
MW19 brought me out of retirement. I played BO3 like crazy then only play some BO4 for zombies and MP but didn’t grind it. MW19 had bad base maps and loud foot steps but the engine, movement, gun play, perk balance, kill streaks, weapon variety and DLC maps(a good amount of the DLC maps anyway) were all great

Bo4 multiplayer was so underrated and has one of the best movements and skill gaps. In my oponion, its one of the best cods for me that I actually had fun in it.
Imma be honest, sweaty movement should not exist in call of duty. It does reward good players, yet is very hard to outplay as a lower skilled player myself. The reason I was okay with mw2 movement is because it wasn’t sweaty, and while it was a little slow, it wasn’t crazy broken or too hard to master. So if you want movement that’s fast paced and important for performance in your videogame, go ahead! But I feel it crosses the line when it’s combined with sbmm, tryhards.
I think it would be cool if they open the bunkers it will make it where we fight on the top floor and then the bottom floor in the bunker I think it could be sick

Sadly cod is a one year cycle game so I understand why people may not recognize the greatness of ghosts dlcs. Cold war could have been special if given an extra year of development and no sbmm too but it's such a shame that game was the closest to feeling like black ops 2 in modern day
If COD4 was not remastered to sell alongside Infinite Warfare, Infinite Warfare would be the least sold Call Of Duty game ever. Like i genuinely believe it would barely crack 5 million units sold which is around how many copies COD 1 & 2 sold from 2003/4. It really explains why we have never seen another title get remastered. Hot Take: Advanced warfare was a really cool refresh to cod but what killed it was micro-transactions. I enjoyed AW but it was the weapon balancing and stupid supply drops that just ruined the game. I was in middle school when it came out but it should’ve been given better treatment.

The funny thing is is that you say that advanced warfare had actors that played in it or an actor either way a lot of the call of duty's now if you pay attention they have real life people playing in them and I think that's what makes them feel so lifelike for me is because they've got real life people voicing these characters and they're taking the faces of these people and putting them in the game and that to me is what brings these games to life

Hot take: dead silence should not be a perk, But a field upgrade like in mw2019. Making dead silence a perk makes it a MUST HAVE in order to get a fair playing field Cus everyone is going to run the perk. It Also makes it so you NEED the awearness perk in order to counter dead silence. Its much better to have it work like it did in mw2019.
Hot take: multiplayer should either be entirely revamped so it’s good, or should be discontinued because 90 percent of people playing are just leveling up guns for wz.

Unpopular opinion, the maps on Ghosts would be significantly better if they brought in 24v24 or 36v36 and have a higher variety of colors, which would work for the sequel as a battlefield fan, Advanced Warfare needs to get rid of Loot boxes, Decrease the chaos of the jet packs, and fix Zombies for a sequel
Hot take dead silence as a perk should not be a thing if it completely mutes footstep audio, it’s just completely unbalanced to be able to have no footstep audio for the game with no penalty
AW imo was one of if not the most satisfying cod to get really good at. Unlike most others I actually much prefer AW's jetpack system over BO3's, there's something about it that makes it so enjoyable to just move around in that game.
Here's my hot take: Vanguard is overhated. It does a lot wrong in the campaign and zombies department, but even then I don't think the direction they went with zombies was awful. They were trying something new and I commend them for that, i just think they should've had a proper round based experience along with it instead of waiting like what 6 months for 1 round based map that wasn't even knew? Anyway, the MP is actually solid. Much like what SHG is doing with MWIII, they were trying to cater to what players wanted. Footsteps weren't loud, dead silence was a perk, red dots were on the minimap, maps weren't horrible, they added a trophy system later on after much demand even though they previously stated they wouldn't, there was operator progression, and let's not forget the best feature in that game, combat pacing. Idk how we haven't had that setting since Vanguard honestly. Also, subjective on my part, but i liked they went all wacky with the time period. If i wanted a dark and gritty realistic take on WWII i would've just gone and played Hell Let Loose or WaW. It was unique to see that time period used differently

I have a really hot take: vanguard was overhated, i’m not saying that it was a amazing game or anything, imo it’s a mediocre game but the community acted like it was the devil.
What if instead of jetpacks they did what halo 5 did and just gave you thruster packs so you could just dash. It keeps the movement advanced but not to the point where it doesn't fit cods system.

Listen Vanguard was awful, full of problems in every mode, the only time I played it was to level up gun’s and still had a very little bit of fun, but MW22 was just boring to play even for level up guns. MW22 campaign was surely better, Vanguard zombie was trash when DMZ at least tried to do something. And Warzone era of Vanguard wasn’t that bad, surely gun’s like NZ41,Bren and Caldera map were annoying and stupid. But we got some cool things like H4 Blixen,MP40,Rebirth Renforced.Fortune’s Keep,weapon trade station,PDS, funny game mods like Supreme Resurgence (I don’t remember the actual name) and other things that were fun and improved Warzone. And Warzone 2.0 we have more negatives than positives. So yeah, Vanguard was a trash and rushed game but MW22 and his WZ were much worse
I actually get tired of people saying BO2 was the best. Campaign was good but it wasn’t game of the year worthy or anything. I mean to me it’s COD. It’s another video game.

Unpopular opinion, the maps on Ghosts would be significantly better if they brought in 24v24 or 36v36 and have a higher variety of colors, which would work for the sequel as a battlefield fan, Advanced Warfare needs to get rid of Loot boxes, Decrease the chaos of the jet packs, and fix Zombies for a sequel

Hot take dead silence as a perk should not be a thing if it completely mutes footstep audio, it’s just completely unbalanced to be able to have no footstep audio for the game with no penalty

Cod ghosts create a class system was the best in the whole franchise. It was a great combination between pick 10 and regular create a class

AW imo was one of if not the most satisfying cod to get really good at. Unlike most others I actually much prefer AW's jetpack system over BO3's, there's something about it that makes it so enjoyable to just move around in that game.

Here's my hot take: Vanguard is overhated. It does a lot wrong in the campaign and zombies department, but even then I don't think the direction they went with zombies was awful. They were trying something new and I commend them for that, i just think they should've had a proper round based experience along with it instead of waiting like what 6 months for 1 round based map that wasn't even knew? Anyway, the MP is actually solid. Much like what SHG is doing with MWIII, they were trying to cater to what players wanted. Footsteps weren't loud, dead silence was a perk, red dots were on the minimap, maps weren't horrible, they added a trophy system later on after much demand even though they previously stated they wouldn't, there was operator progression, and let's not forget the best feature in that game, combat pacing. Idk how we haven't had that setting since Vanguard honestly. Also, subjective on my part, but i liked they went all wacky with the time period. If i wanted a dark and gritty realistic take on WWII i would've just gone and played Hell Let Loose or WaW. It was unique to see that time period used differently

What if instead of jetpacks they did what halo 5 did and just gave you thruster packs so you could just dash. It keeps the movement advanced but not to the point where it doesn't fit cods system.

Listen Vanguard was awful, full of problems in every mode, the only time I played it was to level up gun’s and still had a very little bit of fun, but MW22 was just boring to play even for level up guns. MW22 campaign was surely better, Vanguard zombie was trash when DMZ at least tried to do something.
And Warzone era of Vanguard wasn’t that bad, surely gun’s like NZ41,Bren and Caldera map were annoying and stupid. But we got some cool things like H4 Blixen,MP40,Rebirth Renforced.Fortune’s Keep,weapon trade station,PDS, funny game mods like Supreme Resurgence (I don’t remember the actual name) and other things that were fun and improved Warzone.
And Warzone 2.0 we have more negatives than positives.
So yeah, Vanguard was a trash and rushed game but MW22 and his WZ were much worse
