This enables you to focus on the music without the back and joint pain of lugging tons of gear.... I'm a fan of these instruments.

Went to a guitar center and saw the tele version of this. Guitar center salesman immediately told me not to buy it. Said the electronics had issues but I hope that they got a few lemons at that center and haven’t spoiled the rest of the guitars. I would pick the stray body and natural finish as you have. Hoping the price will come down. Loved the video of it.
Got to say it really sounded good despite my bias against it. Her fabulous voice didn't hurt. Kind of has an ovation kind of a thing going on. Love that sound.
If I might take the liberty of reviewing the reviewer, I like the way that you have thoughtfully taken time to bring out the less obvious strengths and weaknesses of this instrument, (which I also like). Not sure why you have double-tracked the song at the end which is a brilliant way to show off the guitar. And... most of all, thank you for not hiding the real guitar behind a load of distortion. A beautiful review - thank you.
Great review .. it’s definitely one of those items that you really have to use in order to understand it. Yes you can buy a nice acoustic and a nice electric for the price of this thing, but the versatility of this is just amazing. I find myself grabbing this for all manner of practice these days. It is well built and lightweight. Also that 3rd position is awesome. Find myself using that one and the electric clean mostly.

I picked up a Stratacoustic some time ago. It has some similarities to what you have there, but some very distinct differences as well. Definitely one of my favorite guitars and probably the one I tend to spend the most time practicing on.
Bro, I was liking the video content because it was nice and all.. But when Andrea started singing... For a while a didn't even remembered this was a video about the acoustasonic... WOW! What a voice she has...
I have had the Acoustasonic Telecaster for a little over a month, and agree with everything you said, from the versatility to the price/value to the gig bag. I put 10-50 phosphor bronze Stringjoy (jury still out…they seem a little too dead for the short time they’ve been on) so it still gets great acoustic tones but plays and bends the high E and B strings like an electric. I’m playing Americana, and it’s really nice to be able to play acoustic rhythm parts and switch to a Telecaster bridge pickup for a lead. I’m playing it through a Dr Z Jetta which I’ve dialed in pretty clean…not the best electric tone,, but a decent trade off.
Thanks for the video! I’ve been back and forth for months on buying one. And now this helped me make up my mind. Am going to get one but the tele version again thanks .
Crazy how people freak out about a gig bag vs. a hardshell case. Same issue with the Silver Sky. Here's the thing, I'd prefer a really good gig bag (like this one and the PRS) than a hardshell case. The hard shells can be such a pain, especially to store.
You two are great in this song! Appreciate the follow up, and can see why you like it, but afraid of a show stopping failure unless you had a backup with. Thanks

Love the song at the end, it's tough cuz this guitar is badass but it's such a hybrid, don't know if I'd want it over a nice Taylor, but it is very cool looking, I imagine playing an electric strat it would be an easy transition
@@pastordavidberman2091 I've played the Acoustasonic before and I thought it played well. Never seen or heard of a Taylor T5 but based on RUclips videos I've seen it's definitely worth looking into
Im coming up to a year with my tele acoustasonic also sean and i have to say pretty much everything you do about the strat applies to mine,i love it,more recently im using fenders new acoustic junior go amp with it and wow its sounds awesome.
I want to know since its digital out does it feel digital? Don't know how to explain it... A normal electric say stratocaster, you pickup and play but its got that analog feel. Instant satisfaction..
To my ear, the Fender Acoustasonic seems better at delivering an acoustic tone than its' competitors, which are the Taylor T5 and the Godin A6. That's a big thumbs up for Fender from me..!
Nice review - very thorough and helpful. I play gigs at bars/house parties but my primary performing gig is busking! I was interested in the Acoustansonic but...I can't deal with the appearance; it doesn't work with my "image," at least the image I have of myself ;). But it certainly seems to be an excellent instrument. If they could put the sound processing into a Gibson Hummingbird body... ;)
Best guitar purchase I have ever made...so versatile plugged in or unplugged. I play thorough a Fender GTX100 currently. I am about ready to sell my elite strat because I never play it since I bought the acoustasonic.
Its like a 2500 dollar guitar, you know you are good when Fender gives you free guitars, my Taylor was strung with Elixir and I have not looked back, this guitar sounded great when you and Andrea did Smooth Operator
@Infinite Revery I mean sure if I said 'Here's my unbiased REVIEW...' that's one thing. But talking about my thoughts on a free guitar while disclosing the terms of the arrangement without doing anything shady with the sound examples doesn't really qualify as a conflict of interest to me. I never call anything a 'gear review' for this specific reason. I'll put demo videos up but you can make your own decisions.
I remember trying this out for an hour at NAMM a year ago. It immediately felt like....it was just a novelty guitar. Didn't sound good and the wood felt like synthetic plastic. The idea was cool but...why not just use your acoustic or electric. it's like those cars that are also boats. It's cool and different but...you wouldn't want to take a date out in it.
This ⬆️ Yes. If one needs "semiacoustish" + electric there are really good (and cheaper) electrics with extra piezo pickups and that works very well. And then one has a _really good electric tone_ . Or have new pickup system in a real, beautifully resonating and dynamic acoustic. This Acoustasonic is just a drop of the ball, a compromise in all tones, none of them really pleasing. Sounds like a plastic guitar. At best it just gets the job done with a band, but playing it alone with those dead and soulless tones, no no no.
I find it difficult to play lead in my acoustic guitar and if I do, i will take on a more conservative approach. Played one of these and there is more adventure to my approach immediately.
Yeah I personally really don’t like the wideness of acoustics so I’m looking into this as a acoustic alternative. I’ve tested acoustic electrics in person I didn’t love the sound. So I would love to test this out in person. This is currently out of my price range right now tho.
I really like to see innovation, most original ideas in our world are hated at first. I feel Cole Clark is taking a similar approach with its humbucker acoustics. So I would never hate it, however just like watches old-school timeless is the way for me :)
Very nice Andrea!! I haven't got to play an Acoustasonic yet, but from demos, I thought I liked the sounds the Tele version makes better than the Strat version. At that $2k price point, and given that its electronics doing it, I think 1 version should be capable of getting all the tones from both!! Right now, I'm thinking the Taylor T5z is a better value, and I like the 24.5 scale also. Even in the used market, the Fender is not versatile enough to warrant the $$$$. JMHO 8) --gary
Your musical partner Andrea blew me away with the fullness and expression in her voice! Also very nice guitar on that track. As for the Fender, I have exactly the model you do, and still haven‘t quite come down on one side of the fence with it. Prefer the punch and woody harmonics of my real acoustics (Martin D-35, Yairi dreadnaught, Voyage Air (solid wood), Yamaha FG-TA, etc. But the playability and versatility of the Fender still draw me to it. Never did warm up to its electric tones, though. They just don‘t convince me. Maybe it‘s the strings (also using Elixir 12s).
Beautiful song at the end. Great guitar playing and oh what a smooth voice. Why isn’t Andrea a worldwide name instead of all the other dodos. Can someone help me out and tell me what key the song is in.
So I wonder if the "Tone wood" product would benefit that guitar? First, I don't buy guitars for the strings. First thing I do is put on Ernie Ball super slinkies. Second, I prefer natural finishes over any painted finish. Third, every guitar I've ever bought never had a case that's just a given. I always buy a hard shell case for my guitars. I think it's a beautiful guitar and I would go to it for everything. Yeah even my acoustic guitars have Ernie Ball slinkies on them. Very nice song.
I’m really considering one, even though I’m not gigging right now. When I do restart, I’d like to throw this up on a stand to to replace my bulky Ovation and Gracie stand.

Love the song at the end, it's tough cuz this guitar is badass but it's such a hybrid, don't know if I'd want it over a nice Taylor, but it is very cool looking, I imagine playing an electric strat it would be an easy transition
Rouxinol R-30 strings would be cool to try.
I've been thinking about one of these for church. Having capabilities of electric and acoustic sounds great to me
It definitely has a place there!
I don’t like it. Plays like crap. I would go with a Taylor T5 if I were you
@@pastordavidberman2091 only one way to find out
@@justinaskins2156 check them both out. Fir your application the T5 will be better in my opinion
@@pastordavidberman2091 I've played the Acoustasonic before and I thought it played well. Never seen or heard of a Taylor T5 but based on RUclips videos I've seen it's definitely worth looking into
When I'm not busy thinking back fondly on Rudy our families pet racoon I'm wondering why honesty is such a lonely word! Cheers Sean!!
beautiful song!
Great video. Cool song. Thank you.
Wondering why you’re not playing through an acoustic amp, although it sounds good out of the Deluxe.
Best part was the song at the end. Love it.
thanks!! go listen to some of our other originals :)

To my ear, the Fender Acoustasonic seems better at delivering an acoustic tone than its' competitors, which are the Taylor T5 and the Godin A6. That's a big thumbs up for Fender from me..!
PLEASE DO MORE VIDEOS LIKE THIS!!!
If they could put the sound processing into a Gibson Hummingbird body... ;)
The DI factor is a huge reason for me to buy this.
You can hit that and have the best percussive in the market for looping rythme. That's huge.
Thanks so much! I love how that one turned out.
love that song
@Infinite Revery Where's the conflict of interest?
Sean Daniel
You could've used the Acoustasonic Strat at the New Year's Eve gig if you had your Taylor converted into a Cello.
Tone sounds great!

Maybe it‘s the strings (also using Elixir 12s).
awh thanks so much :) go listen to some of our original songs!

Nice song at the end
Thanks so much!
Beautiful song at the end. Great guitar playing and oh what a smooth voice. Why isn’t Andrea a worldwide name instead of all the other dodos. Can someone help me out and tell me what key the song is in.
Maybe you should try the PRS Silver Sky, see if your opinion changes.
NEVER!
@@seandaniel23 lol would you still do that if it was John Mayer himself asking you to try out his guitar
@@UnrealGamer099 absolutely
Silver sky sounds like a horn lol
I think some people dont have a good ear blinded by brand loyalty
So I wonder if the "Tone wood" product would benefit that guitar?
First, I don't buy guitars for the strings. First thing I do is put on Ernie Ball super slinkies.
Second, I prefer natural finishes over any painted finish.
Third, every guitar I've ever bought never had a case that's just a given. I always buy a hard shell case for my guitars.
I think it's a beautiful guitar and I would go to it for everything.
Yeah even my acoustic guitars have Ernie Ball slinkies on them.
Very nice song.
Watched a show last night and the band (Beaches) actually used one for a tune
Yeah they're getting pretty popular!
I'd totally get one if I had the talent to justify the expense. Andrea's performance is gorgeous as usual. Who wrote the song?

I’m really considering one, even though I’m not gigging right now. When I do restart, I’d like to throw this up on a stand to to replace my bulky Ovation and Gracie stand.
i'm so unsure about these. i'd get one but the price is pretty high for me
Sean Daniel this is a nice studio and gears you have. 🤔
the player mex version seems so similar to me, 1 pickup added inside the body but same tone...am I wrong?
