bro this the only thing my highschool drumline would play and they would do the same trick of crashing the cymbals under the leg while kicking it up like “you’ve done it 9 times it’s not impressive anymore”
man, that tenor solo is harder than it looks especially for a 40 year old man such as myself who hasn’t actually played any drums at all for well over a decade. my arms were on fire almost immediately. my chops are 100% gone.
I requested this as a street beat and my drum major asked the person who is in charge of the marching band in my school, and he said we could. When my drum major said that we could play Jig 2, I became the happiest tenor player in the friggin world!
they played this in my elementary school and I will forever enjoy it every single time I hear it 😭! brings back so many memories of cheerleaders from highschools and everywhere coming and doing tricks. Never forgetting that memory🥲
i am a 7th grader this is my first year playing tenors. im going to turn out for them in 9th for marching band. and i have to wait 2 years and imma cry... but tysm this helped me learn the tenor part even tho my school dont play this we play the mary had a little lamb or whatever. sorry i spelled a lot of this wrong i mean i have a b+ in englich but an a+ in band so yeah.
See, screaming children are required. That's how my band does it anyways. We all just gesture towards our tenor who plays it and he zooms through it while we cheer him on
Bro I go to the school that wrote this song and our band director has always said that his biggest regret was not copywriting the song, not because he doesn't like that other bands play it but because our band program doesn't get very much money and having the rights for the song could have made our band a profiting organization
It does, but it does not get mentioned that much. The difference though is probably more seen in the end with it being more different. Not much changes in the drumline tho.
@@itzsahith Many moons ago, Eric created and copyrighted the tenor rudiment "loopy grandma". I then sent Eric a message asking him if he named it after me. One because I'm loopy! I can testify that children do indeed scream at the tenor solo.

2:41 right side tenor Eric had the world’s fastest break and recovery.
Send it to Guinness.
Idk what I was expecting but I kept watching the time and I ended up rewatching that part about 10 times his hands just transported😂
Honestly it was very smooth, and you really have to try hard to catch it
what is a break and recovery in band terms? i produce music digitally so i’m jus going back a doing my research!
Wow this DrumLine is really good! They even all match insanely well!
They even look exactly the same. Talk about unity.

probably the only clean recording in existence
As a former drum line member…. I can confirm the screaming children! ……even had a cart wheeler before

We need a Black Page cover. I think we deserve it

My school's drumline does this too primarily for warm up and eventually for the marching season.
You also need people screaming alright and ok on the base drum hits

The rubber chickens
So nobody gonna talk about the chickens he play with
Old school jig from 2008-2010 sounds more accurate. South San hs started this
Cheer~~~a modulation or inflection of the voice.(music)?? 😊
