Absolutely loved the original Mamba. Turned me into a Razer user after a long time Logitech player. Thumb buttons were great and the ergonomics were phenomenal. Most importantly the USB wire could be replaced and customized so you could have a thin cord at the optimal length so it wouldn't tug, then just replace the wire when it when bad. Used the original Mamba for over 6 years and when this version came out I was ready to upgrade. Both the coating had warren off and I really missed the tilt scroll wheel from my Logitech mice. However, this version was a huge disappointment. First, there is no on board memory in this mouse, so if you want your bindings and settings to apply on a new computer you need to install drivers. The "tournament drivers" is an oxymoron. First: A tournament administrator should not be allowing you to install software onto a tournament PC Second: When I'm at a tournament I don't want to spend the time to install software and make sure it's working. I just want to plug in and play. You could do this with the original Mamba, you can't do this with the new Mamba. Second, the ergonomics of the mouse are trash. The side of the mouse are convex as opposed to concave. This makes the mouse harder and uncomfortable to grip. Furthermore it makes the thumb buttons harder to hit without sacrificing your grip on the mouse. The end result is you need to grip the mouse harder and it just doesn't fit your hand as well as the original model. After a couple weeks of the new model I went back to the original. There are no performance improvements here that you would want. I've since gone back to Logitech and picked up a G700s. It's everything I wanted from an upgraded Mamba and more. It has on board memory, the USB cable is easier to replace and swap out (don't need to shave down the guard like you do on the mamba), concave design is easier to grip, thumb buttons are easier to hit and there's 4 of them. There's a tilt scroll wheel and 3 more auxiliary buttons for your index finger as well as a 4th aux button on top. The only downside is the mouse is quite a bit more heavy when compared to the Mamba. Thankfully after the first few weeks I found I didn't mind much. I gotta say, Razer, you fucked up the only thing you were good at.
you guys should try to look at the g900 since ive tried both, it feels more accurate to me than the mamba even your 2013 mamba feels better and more accurate when i used both i do really like your products usually but im rather disappointed with this mouse
We've come to the point where DPI and sensor improvements hit diminishing returns a while ago, everyone does customization now a days and mice ergonomics all depend on the persons preference or physical structure. What DOES matter now a more then anything are drivers, and Synapse is an absolute fucking joke. Options are good yes, no doubt... the problem is its a resource hog... 70K memory? LOL! The software for my Logitech mouse is about 80% less. Wireless signal constantly freezes for a second or two and i think this is because of the drivers not the mouse itself because EVERYONE has this problem with your wireless mice. The wireless issue probably correlates with how often your software "is not responding" if i had a dollar for every time i force closed Synapse with task manager i could buy 5 mice from your competitors. Just my 2 cents.

I bought a mamba tournament edition and got it yesterday. the sensor is garbage and has horrible zaxis liftoff issues which cause the cursor to jump around anytime u lift off the mat. Custom calibration does not solve the issue, refunding and buying something else. Worst purchase ive made in years.
Bit misleading as adjusting the lift off distance only works via connected cable mode and then 1000Hz polling rate doesn't seem to work that great plus the chroma features is disabled when enabling the 100hz. Anyhow I have gotten use to using only 500hz when wireless and can only use 1000Hz polling rate when in wired mode. In this video we can see it being used as WIRELESS mode and him adjusting liftoff range. But in actual fact wireless completely disables that ability to tweak for different mouse pads and the 1000hz ability

I'm sitting right now with my synapse 2.0 and mamba 2016 with all theses issues tracking lag , freezing telling me to change the polling rate yet is most likely capable to run at that. so I own a mamba and the only thing i think can change on the wireless version is the weight. I understand that it powers all the pretty lights but i keep those off for battery life so if u guys can make like an "experimental" razer mamba that has no lights leading to not needing as heavy a battery.

Anyone have the issue where your mouse just scrolls up continuously and you can't stop it? Every computer I plug the mouse into, it just starts scrolling up really fast and I can't scroll down at all.

I'm still stuck between the mamba and the mamba tournament edition there both slight differences in design and I may get the Razer mamba te then get the mamba I'm alos getting the black widow v2 tournament keyboard I just hsve to wait until I can afford one of the towers or the laptops I reslly loved them being used in the warming leagues I have eraser headset I reslly enjoy and when I stream more and my brother and I get the store running whixh will have gaming events we want to share Razer love of gaming and quality with others

Sensor with z-axis bug is shit. Razer should put their 3389 sensor to the mamba and it became ideal mouse for gaming and esport.

so I own a mamba and the only thing i think can change on the wireless version is the weight. I understand that it powers all the pretty lights but i keep those off for battery life so if u guys can make like an "experimental" razer mamba that has no lights leading to not needing as heavy a battery.
How come Razer Sphex is included in your Synapse 2.0 but with v1.18 it is not listed?
Mine don't work with Razer Firefly v1 because it locks on the y-axis sometimes...
One thing I don't like abt this is the stickers are shiny , I wanted it green , it looks cheap and does not look like the razer logo

ok razer i love your products and i love using them but i know you probably wont read this but i have had 4 of your products and 3 of them were not detected by synaps or stopped after a few days this is why i switched to corsair so i really think you need to fix synaps i hate it
