Couldn’t agree more about the ridiculous drop , you used to see it in one of the women’s majors - ANA I think - they had to get rid of the grandstand on 18 after a few years because the players were deliberately carrying the water an extra club or 2 and bouncing off the grandstand wall!!

Caddie moved a bloody rock so that he couldn't play it up by a fence. Got relief and dropped it back out of the woods with a clear line to the flag. Scandalous.
