Both companies were responsible for making the group and not just yg decided to collaborate with mboat to create a diva project group which made big mama. Actually big mama is considered more as a yg artists and not an mboat artists just like gummy and wheesung. Yg had more control over big mama, from producing their music,promoting them, to concert ventures and many more.

That solo cut is "Resignation" The national anthem of Korean karaoke for decades performed by its composer Lee Young-hyun. Morissette performed this in the 2018 Asian Song festival in Korea and also released a Tri-language version in English, Tagalog and Korean.

Isn't that amazing? The type of K-pop is not limited to dance groups. Park Hyo Shin, Lena Park, Forestella, etc. There are still many singers that you'll be surprised by.

I miss this kind of voices in KPop. One of the reason why the newer generation doesn't appeal to me is because the current trend for Kpop female vocalist are on the brighter, thinner side popularized by BoA and IU. Don't get me wrong, I like those sound from time to time, but I miss voices like this and Da Vinci.
Check out Jaurim "라구요..." or Shining 샤이닝. 김윤아 Yoon ah Kim is the lead singer of the band Jaurim and she's extremely expressive and amazingly acrobatic in her control. She has a wonderful natural yodel reminiscent of the 90s, as well (think Jewel).
Your voice typing is funny, I hear two Mezzo's and two sopranos, the one in the right (Minhye) have a very light voice idk how you hear it and think she is a mezzo, and the second from the right (Younghyun) is sustaining upper 5th octave notes throughout which a mezzo may be able to do but not with the same coordination as her.

I think the group name Big Mama comes from the idea that they're not skinny as the "idol Korean female group". They are all bigger in size than the usual female artists in Korea. Big Mama is amazing!!!!

I think the group name Big Mama comes from the idea that they're not skinny as the "idol Korean female group". They are all bigger in size than the usual female artists in Korea.
