    I am 1/4 Assyrian - but have much love and respect for Armenians, we are semi-kindred peoples. I believe the Armenians have an ancient connection to Sumer.

    What do you mean? It's one of the oldest and most important Armenian symbols. It stand for eternity, life and motion. Early inhabitants of the Armenian Highlands could observe constellations that moved in these patterns. Later it was absorbed into Church and represents the holy spirit. I think it's a wonderful symbol and you should be proud, it has no bad history and in Armenia we use it all the time. It has nothing to do with Hitler or nazis, so if that's the concern then don't worry.

    I congratulate you, PeopleOfAr, on this video. Extremely interesting and informative. This video, my videos portraying Armenia in antique cartography, and other informative videos like them are vital to the acknowledgement we require to survive as a people, and most importantly, to help those Armenians forgetting their history and unique heritage to keep on remembering.

    With all due respect, I have read Gurjieff´s works and he was far from being a nazi. I think that the nazis perverted the eternal symbol which had existed before in many cultures.
    Greetings and peace :-)

    @RabizMusic
    Whitall N. Perry. in "Gurdjieff in the Light of Tradition (Part 1)" writes:
    "It is claimed that Gurdjieff was in continuous contact with Haushofer, to whom moreover he proposed the emblem of the inverted swastika".
    Since Gurjieff was half Armenian, half Greek born and raised in Armenia it is apparant he proposed ancient Armenian symbol of Kerkhach ( now better known as "Swastika")...but most Armenians try to avoid this subject since it is associated now with Nazism .

    btw did you know that the Armenian Wheel of Eternity, the Yin Yang, and the Basque Lauburu are all made the same way, using a 'compass'?
    All we need to do is add the 'square'?
    Now we understand why the Freemasons who are associated with the compass and the square are very familiar with the Jaina Cross, a.k.a. the swastika?
    Actually the gavel used in Freemason meetings and by judges derives from the hammer of Thor which is connected to Lightning/Thunder and the swastika, again.

    I just recently tattooed the Armenian Wheel of Eternity on my arm. I wanted to acknowledge the genocide and show that I am proud to be an Armenian. When I watched this video with my mother she became very upset because of the history behind the symbol. I have mixed feelings about showing it off now. Any thoughts?

    Upset? I also can't understand what you mean. We use it on our T-shirts in dances showing our Armenian pride. I soecifically looked for and bought a hair clip with our eternity symbol. It has only positive meaning...If I ever do tattoo it will also include Armenian eternity symbol...
