    Nice video, Max! I have owned and flown an Eclipse jet for over 11 years. It's the same configuration as the one in your video. You absolutely nailed it when you stated that you have a grin on your face every time you fly it. I've been flying for 50 years and have flown many types, but, like you, this is my favorite. I pinch myself every time I fly it and never forget how fortunate I am to be able to do so. It's the perfect personal jet.

      If you get an Eclipse type rating you will get multiengine rating limited to centerline thrust. Eclipse has been made with safety in mind to be pilot's airplane. It's almost as easy to fly as SR22. What is your current aviation experience?

      My next step would be transition training to an SR20, if only I could find one locally for rent, and with air conditioning (extremely hot where I live until November). Plenty of Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots in my area, so that's not an issue.
      And I still find it hard to believe that the asymmetrical thrust associated with flying an Eclipse with only one operational engine does not require the training necessary for a traditional multiengine rating. It's not a Cessna Skymaster or an Adam 500. Hard to wrap my head around this.

      Probably Garmin G3000, 100 lbs more thrust per engine (which engines are capable of after FADEC system update), extra fuel tank and FL430 certification 😅

    How much are the operating costs per hour, when i fly 100 h per year?

    • @MaxJetRev
      @MaxJetRev  8 месяцев назад +2

      All inclusive (fixed & variable) is around $1100 / h. But as you probably know, it will depend heavily on where and how you do the maintenance. If you go to the big name shops they will bill the hell out of you without the added safety or quality benefit.

      Eclipse concept is very well thought out with modern user experience concepts. A lot other manufacturers forget that easy to fly planes are safe and instead use off the shelf solutions from older planes with 50’s tech. Hopefully the new Eclipse owners will be able to restart production and make some cool upgrades to the plane.

    How do you get certified for the eclipse after getting ppl in a single engine
    What would be next steps to get certified for eclipse as your private plane

    • @MaxJetRev
      @MaxJetRev  2 месяца назад

      Thank you. You need to get an instrument rating, preferably in SR22 to get use to higher speed. Once you have private pilot and instrument rating it would be nice to etc get 200-300 hours of real world experience flying a Cirrus in actual IFR, cross country flights etc. Then you may begin Eclipse type rating training. Multi engine rating is not required. What’s your current experience?
