How can you not root for this guy? It's not just his football learning perspective, it's his life learning perspective. Maturity like that at 24 is impressive.
Pierce is my Guy, I said last year when everyone was dogging him I hoped he would prove them wrong. He still has to prove it on the field but I think he can and believe he will.

Landry, you did say at the end of last season that Damian Pierce was unplayable. I said before training camp he would regress in year two and we were both right. Other than his talk and his attitude he has done nothing to change that thought. Unless he shows something quickly I’m going to say he won’t be any different his season. He’s a great guy and probably a great teammate but will probably end up RB 3 if he’s not traded or cut.
We've seen rb3 contribute in New England. He has a role, especially on kick return.
I'm gonna say the opposite and say that he gets his mind right and shines in his rb2 roll. He's obviously a very self-aware guy and talked about him not being able to really pick up the offense during the course of the season and that he needed another offseason to get there. Here we are. By all accounts he's looked good in camp. He'll get back to displaying the talent he showed in year one but within Slowik's scheme. CJ with a real run game is going to be deadly.
