James I've noticed that you've been playing a number of your lessons on a Fender P-bass. You sound GREAT on it, and the P-bass is one my absolute favorite bass tones. I was wondering why you seem to have added a Precision to your bass collection, and what you like about it so much that it's earned a place in your rig?
First of all make sure you watch the ‘riskiest’ p bass video I made. I love the vibe and simplicity of it. It’s a one trick pony in many ways… but that trick really inspires me and makes me think / play a bit differently. Hope that answers!
I would love to try these free PDF backing tracks with the patterns but I see no options or red dot to help me with the process please and thanks James
In the description below this video the is a link where you can download the PDF for lesson. Just enter your email and we’ll send yuh the PDF via email.

Would the B natural in pattern #2 also be considered a “ blue note “ ? Great lesson, thank you 🙏

Hi James, do you have flats on that bass?
Absolutely!
