I had bought the Way Huge Pork & Pickle last year, and I'm loving it so far! I tend to use Overdrive and Fuzz somewhat sparingly, but I need to start working it in more and more!
I bought this plugin. It's really a great deal for for a 120 bux - versatile. I'm more a groovy pop hobbiest on the bass and it works well in a lot of situations (including running organs and electric piano patches through). Now I have 5 days left on the Ampeg SVT suite plugin trial - another $200! Thanks for the video!
Yet, another great demo! Even though I’ve been disappointed with other Darkglass pedals (Alpha Omega and Microtubes X), this one seems like the most useful, and now I want one. Please do a demo of the Tech 21 DP-3X or SH-1 if you get one of them. Thanks for putting this up! Saludos!
Recently returned my DP-3X. Just wasn't for me and completely was lost in the mix with that thing. Fiddled with it for 6 weeks and even played two gigs with it and I had enough. I couldn't here my own sound and it was driving me nuts. Thing has the worst mid cut ever. I tried every damn setting imaginable. My MESA D-800+ completely sounds better without it. I did picked up a used B3K though to try out. Should be here later this week. I see no need or purpose to have an EQ on my pedal when I have an amazing EQ on my head.
Maiden! My fave distortion is the Alpha Omicron just before a B7kV2 and then into the B7k Ultra with just the clean and cabsim. I found the B7k v2 has a touch more sizzle than the Ultra.
Awesome video, Ivan. 😎🤘🏻🎸the neural darkglass is phenomenal. I personally like the vintage ultra model, but the b7k ultra model is pretty cool too. Also I’m definitely into heavy distortions on bass, but your setting sounds nice. It sounds crunchy and punchy.
Hi Ivan, just a curiosity: on what frequency did you set the centre of the low mids in the video related to your favorite setting (250 Hz, 500 Hz or 1 KHz) ? Thanks for your valuable practical advice.
Still one of my favourite settings as well! Thanks for the shout out, bro! ❤️
Of course 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I definitely want one of these pedals. I love the Darkglass stuff.
It’s a great pedal! Love it

I’ve heard great things about that pedal. Need to check it out myself!
Steve Harris also inspired my bass beginnings! Learned the entire live after death album.. 18 years later never forgot the E minor scale
Up the irons!
I have the same plugin you used. I use it both for distortion and clean recordings and most of the times with a doubled bass track as well.
Great stuff!

The vintage side words great for pop tunes!

Good video and well explained! I do the same with a vintage microtubes ultra v2... but the REAL difference in the mix made the comp and HP/LP 😅☝
The vintage ultra is awesome, too!
Haha 😆 gotta tame those loud transients that happen when you really attack the strings. 1176 for metal bass = 🥰

Interesting! Do you run the AO with low gain and then add more with the Bk?
@@IvanBassist actually I run the AO just a hair more than the B7k, AO fully Alpha and distortion at 1oclock, and B7k at noon
Gran video!! excelente explicacion!!
Gracias, Sergio 💪🏽💪🏽

The vintage is also great! Love it 🤘🏽 thanks for watching!
i dig these low gain tones
Thank you!
Up the irons! Steve is great!
Steve is da man!
Also a Steve Harris fan! I have the YYZ pedal- I’d like to know how you’d set that for a similar sound.
Here you go! ruclips.net/video/I1VM_LB0cWw/видео.html
@@IvanBassist cool...I just needed more “low”- I was adding bass by giving more “deep”. Good, but sounded biamped.

I’m cutting a bit of 250 :)
@@IvanBassist Perfectly shared choice :)
I’m no fan of my alpha omega and should have gotten this b7k 😩
Sell it then
Which pedal better to buy x7, alpha omega or b7k?🙏
Those 3 pedals sound very different from each other. Can you test them before buying?
@@IvanBassist no :(
Can it clean up and punch?
It Sure can. You can simply Turn off the distortion. The Tone is amazing
