Aleksandr Bondar's switch to Russia's Diving Team proved to be a golden decision with him securing 1st place with team mate veteran diver Viktor Minibaev. Russia's Bondar and Minibaev secured gold over British 18 year old divers Matthew Dixon and Noah Williams in a thrilling final.
Italy's Vladimir Barbu and Miattia Placidi were forced to pull out of the event due to Placidi suffering a foot injury.
