Everything R2 has done:
Saved padme’s ship, piloted many ships, fixed 3PO in AOTC, saved obi wan and anakin, got the buzz droids off of anakins ship, got the hologram of Leia to obi wan, saved people from the trash compactor, helped blow up the Death Star, helped getting to dagobah, gave Luke his lightsaber in the sarlacc fight, got them out of the Ewok trap, opened doors in fights, helps find Luke, helps convince Luke to come, and for this, gets shot multiple times
Everything Luke has done:
Helped save leia, tried to save his friends, saved his friends in Jabbas palace, saved the resistance in tlj

Fun fact- every alien in the bar scene was thrown together on the spot by the costume department- but starwars being the expansive lore pit it is- each got its own lore and race- which would made many appearances in shows and future movies :D each one was named and had its own background too
