These videos always make me happy I wish you’d upload more cause I’ve always been interested in cop cars too and I binge watch your videos over and over.
Thank you for this post. I had to tackle a couple of these on a 1998 Grand Prix GTP. Not easy to get to, at all!. They do sell some aftermarket gears that allow you to rebuild it. Rock Auto had good prices for new replacements also.
My mom's 2011 Buick enclave does some popping thing under the dash when you first start the car and the A/C is on. It goes away after a minute or so, I think it does it with the heat too
@@TheCopCar some of the GM models can have up to three on them, Malibu’s have 3, and one is extremely hard to get to, lots of parts come off first, I know how, been there done that!
3:00 - that has to be one of the most annoying "engineering" things I've seen. You shouldn't have to remove 3 pins to remove a glove box. I've noticed GM does a lot of annoying things like that though. And 6:34 glad you did that. I was gonna ask if you tried to disassemble the old one.
Yeah, at 6:34 I was very curious to see what gave up in there. I was a little shocked to see such a small piece of plastic stopping progress... usually there's more damage than that. Guess I could use this one as a spare if it doesn't get brittle over time.
The two I've changed on this car were fairly easy to swap out. I know there's at least 2 others that are way harder to get to.... but I haven't looked for them ...yet. The one to the left of the glove box is super easy - if that one is broke, you can change it pretty quick.
You can look up "blend door actuator" or "A/C actuator" - There's (4) of them total that can fail. I think (3) are identical, and this one I changed is a little different from the others. You should have no problem finding them online - common failure part.
@@commanderhall848 might be the one I just replaced, when I would open the back door it would randomly start. Drop the glove box (without pulling the pins) and touch the two I showed in the video - see which one is vibrating with the clicking sound.
Rip headphone users 😬😬😬
Now that I listen to it again... you are correct. Pinned.

600 bucks. Yeah, that's not happening.
I about choked when they told me the price, I was expecting like $150 tops.

It's probably one of the actuators. From what I understand it's a common problem on multiple GM vehicles.

I hate doing the blend door actuator Replacement I'm so glad mine works in the 9C3
Can't argue with that. It's not fun... but it's not worth paying someone else almost $600 either. LOL

@@TheCopCar crazy thing is mines start when I open my car door ,It immediately starts making that noise

Good video bro & good the blendoor concert is done for good
Thanks bro! Much appreciated. I'm done listening to those bongos for now... but it's only a matter of time before I end up with an uninvited encore.
@@TheCopCar 😂😂😂
How much was the part?
Years back it was like $20 new... but that's what the "used" junkyard price is now. From the dealer it would have been $86.
👍
Thanks
