    Wesley Addy was born on August 4, 1913, in Omaha, Nebraska, and began his career in the entertainment industry in the 1940s. Addy was arguably best known for playing Mike Hammer's character Lt. Pat Murphy on Kiss Me Deadly (1955)

    Whatever Happened to Baby Jane was just playing on TV. His face was so familiar, I had to look him up to find out why. So many wonderful roles, but mainly Ryan's Hope is where I knew him from.

    He played on THE EDGE OF NIGHT and LOVING, where at one point, he played opposite her real-life spouse Academy Award winner Celeste Holm.
