Thanks for watching everyone. Can't wait until summer to make more good Culvert and drainage videos. But until then I will continue to upload random stuff and I see a culvert and River conditions along with a few stealth camps
@@xside666 definitely next summer, it's hard to find the right ones in the winter. I know some very remote ones that don't usually have water but they're inaccessible now
Were you one of those kids who sat in the bath watching the whirlpool disappear along with the water? Love it that you can play as an adult. Fun video.
This might be a good opportunity for "science." Does starting the whirlpool affect the time it takes to drain? You could measure the time to drain with and without starting it. I honestly don't know. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to your next video.
A whirlpool speeds up the process but it also depends on the rest of the system under test. If there is a vent going to the roof right behind the sink that will have influence for instance. So doing measurements on this system won't apply to all systems
Me too. I have a shallow sink and it's probably the most inconvenient thing in the whole house. If you got a big roasting pan to wash, might as well forget it. I just buy those foil disposable ones to keep from having to deal.
I'm not one for bathroom utilities but I have to admit that's a great sunk. Most of the bathroom sinks are too small so when you wash your face the water goes on the floor.
If someone back in the 60s would've told me I'd be watchin a guy puttin sardines in a draining sink on my telephone when I'm an old man, I would've thought they had stripped a gear! 🤪 Now I gotta question mine! Love your stuff Post 10! 👍👍
Even this is satisfying to watch. Glad I discovered your channel, a few weeks ago. It was a random video I might like and I thought it was something in nature. No, it was a clogged drain. Did not know this is great to watch, satisfying. Love what you are doing.
A vortex in the Northern hemispere will useally turn counterclockwise and a vortex in the southern hemisphere will useally turn clockwise. This is called the coriolis effect.
At work, I always stir the water before I pull the drain, so it has time to even out the flow before too much water is lost. I also find that a stronger stir creates a thicker vortex, whereas less stir creates a narrower vortex.
yeah i like those kind of strainers, you can still buy them in the store, though i've never seen one that big, usually only like 1 1/2 inch diameter ones. also wish they all had that little handle on it to pull it out with, very handy
Man that is a great bathroom sink. We had one bottle of that Lifebuoy soap. Haven't seen it since but it was good stuff. An old American brand and the bottled stuff is from China. Good video topped off with random boxes and a belch. Thanks and cheers
What I find strange is the size of that sink it’s huge, here in the uk we have a thin chain attached to the plug and fastened just beneath the mixer tap so you can pull the plug out without getting your hands wet.
If the water is *completely* still and a large enough surface area the whirlpools will form that way, yes. Introduce any movement to the water and it will have a stronger impact of the direction of the whirlpool. An existing whirl is stronger than the effect of the rotation of the earth.
Yes it will get rid of any grease starting to build up inside the Trap especially if it's hot water. And it's good to stir up a septic tank if you have one
I guess I got lucky. I'm the only person with a well who has this kind of pressure that I know of. All my friends and family there are well systems don't produce a lot. My well can produce 10 gallons per minute before it started sucking air
👋 from uk and I noticed that whirlpool going was spinning one way but head was spinning in opposite (strange thing gravity ) and wonder if true about whirlpool goin totally anti clockwise cos av tried in uk but it stops flow corrects/starts flowing clockwise again lol mad sciences involved in these studies👍👍
I was staying at an upstairs apartment in Hampton beach back in the late 90s and I was doing dishes and I let the water out and it hauled ass down the drain. Didn't have any way to record audio or video back then just a crappy 12 second voice recorder that ate batteries.
Most of the water movements in your videos are not whirlpools. A whirlpool is created by opposing forces. When you see water spinning due to a downdraft (pipe, culvert etc) this is called a vortex. Love your videos!
thanks for the heart... one day someone like you; will walk into your abandoned bathroom and have the same reaction haha.. love it keep up the good work sir
i was a child in the 60s .our toilet had a good whirlpool i would flush it dozens of times a day just watching it take my toys down.then my dad would yell QUIT WASTING GODDAMM WATER
Thanks for watching everyone. Can't wait until summer to make more good Culvert and drainage videos. But until then I will continue to upload random stuff and I see a culvert and River conditions along with a few stealth camps
That all sounds some exciting content to look forward to watching!
Hope it's another video of you camping inside a culvert, for a stealth video.
@@xside666 definitely next summer, it's hard to find the right ones in the winter. I know some very remote ones that don't usually have water but they're inaccessible now
Cool vids will we get any super sweet excavator action this year show us how its done post
Very cool. Looking forward to it!
How is leach doing?
You are the only person I know with a commercial grade sink in the bathroom. Good adaptive reuse!
Excellent experiments with whirlpool making.
I doubt this is in his house, this is probably in some bathroom in a commercial building
@@Alex.AL_26 I always install commercial things if I have the chance because they're more durable and look cool
I have a really old 60’s laundry sink and when you fill it all the way up, the siphon is insane, it almost breaks your fingers it’s so strong.
Lol, you are the only person in the world that can interest me in watching a sink drain!
At 2:34 The noises you hear when you are using the Bathroom after some Taco Bell
Were you one of those kids who sat in the bath watching the whirlpool disappear along with the water? Love it that you can play as an adult. Fun video.
plumber here...looks like you got some smooth pipes!
That vortex is satisfying to see. I love a clear drain. Not quite as satisfying as unclogged culvert but it’ll do.
Spring is just around the corner. I’m so jealous of where you live. I don’t t know how much snow you have but I’ll bet it’s drop dead GORGEOUS!
I love the noises it made when you were “feeding” the whirlpool. It sounded alive lol

We did the in middle school with soda bottles. Different methods to see which empty fastest. Whirlpool won.
😂 yah see if there’s a difference speed between cold 🥶 and hot 🥵 water

@@MonkeyJedi99 I also heard EEVBlog say that just the other day.
Thanks for doing more camping videos. The culvert camping video was spectacular. 🙂👍❤️
We had sinks like that at work, it's wild to see one in a bathroom.
We call that "skiddling" in Scotland. You're having a skiddle in the sink.
Normally if you're in America you call that a sink whirlpool or a sink tornado
I love that, kitchen size sink in the bathroom. 👍
That was fun!
I always think of you when we have big snow melt conditions here.
Lots of flooding yesterday and today before a hard freeze.
Really satisfying to listen and watch. 👍
I have a sink-ing feeling about this one.
Yay!! They added a sink whirlpool
I should be sleeping. But I'm watching whirlpools 😂
Hey Post, you should show us various household projects, like the electrical stuff you do.
Some sized sink and was expecting a small rubber duck going around in circles. That is some water pressure you have.
Liked the video Cheers.
This is how post 10 trains to spot the tiniest of whirlpools so he can quickly unclog street drains.
I know one thing I would love to have that sink in my kitchen I think my next sink will have to be stainless
Me too. I have a shallow sink and it's probably the most inconvenient thing in the whole house. If you got a big roasting pan to wash, might as well forget it. I just buy those foil disposable ones to keep from having to deal.
@@lie-berry Yes I get the disposable ones to my damn sink it’s a double sink but both sides are small very dumb
Can’t wait for the culverts 😊
spring is coming
Lol I need a pee after all the water 33 seconds in 😶love your content keep up the great work big respect bro

Sunk good
I love the overnight or 36 hour camping videos and exploring videos. This is also cool

Nice upload, but I just cannot stop myself thinking ‘please put the toilet seat down’ …. Yeah, I’m one of those 😁👍🏻
Now that's a serious bathroom sink. 👍
Love your video!! NICE hair cut.
Feeding a whirlpool sardines from the 70's in a commercial sink in that is in the bathroom is the most post10 thing I've seen today
Thus right here got rid of my anxiety attack ty
If that's the sink you have in the bathroom I'm really looking forward to what you have in the kitchen.
Neat. I'm gonna try this soon. Next time I wash dishes.
I have one that the washing machine drains into, and I still spook at first when I hear that GLAAAT GLAT GLAT coming from the garage. 😆
Fun little video! You ever get comments saying, “wHy aRe yOu wAsTiNg wATer??!!!!”
Yes but I'm not, it goes to a septic system and steps right into the ground where it was pumped out of
@@post.10 Oh interesting!

A vortex in the Northern hemispere will useally turn counterclockwise and a vortex in the southern hemisphere will useally turn clockwise.
This is called the coriolis effect.
Interesting! That sink is huge in the bathroom. Probably be able to take a bath in that thing. 😁
“Post plays in bathroom sink” man I’ll watch anything by this guy. Got some good burps too
At work, I always stir the water before I pull the drain, so it has time to even out the flow before too much water is lost. I also find that a stronger stir creates a thicker vortex, whereas less stir creates a narrower vortex.
Trying to explain to my friends why this is good content just keeps ending in "you just don't get it".

wow that's a big sink for a bathroom!
Hey post. Love watching your content. Anticipating some really good stuff after this big storm that hit the north east. Much respect from Colorado.
yeah i like those kind of strainers, you can still buy them in the store, though i've never seen one that big, usually only like 1 1/2 inch diameter ones. also wish they all had that little handle on it to pull it out with, very handy
I have always been interested by whirlpools.

That is a nice sink,. I'd put it up there with a Belfast sink.
Ahhhh! 2 videos back to back! Got my post 10 fix for real lol
Beavers will have that blocked back up by next weekend.
What I find strange is the size of that sink it’s huge, here in the uk we have a thin chain attached to the plug and fastened just beneath the mixer tap so you can pull the plug out without getting your hands wet.
That looked cool as shit after eating some shrooms 😂
Will it change rotation from counter clockwise to clockwise if the sink was south of the equator
If the water is *completely* still and a large enough surface area the whirlpools will form that way, yes. Introduce any movement to the water and it will have a stronger impact of the direction of the whirlpool. An existing whirl is stronger than the effect of the rotation of the earth.
That is some satisfying drainage.
I just opened my own sinks drain and I'm disgusted of what I've achieved.
I never seen a sink like that in the bathroom. Last one I seen one close to it was fifteen years ago in a washroom in a very old house remodeling.
You could sit on the side of that sink and have a good wash if your shower packs up.
What type of commercial premises did that sink come from?
That is an awesome whirlpool 👍
364 days til drain season! Need to get in shape!
A drain guy told me that filling the sink and letting it drain in that manner once in a while is a great way to prevent clogs in the drain line.
Yes it will get rid of any grease starting to build up inside the Trap especially if it's hot water. And it's good to stir up a septic tank if you have one
You can buy those sink drains with the basket from Amazon. I installed one on my existing kitchen sink.
…. when you can’t drain culverts,,,, you go to the bathroom! Cmon man !
The sink is pretty cool for a bathroom, how do you have such awesome water pressure?
I guess I got lucky. I'm the only person with a well who has this kind of pressure that I know of. All my friends and family there are well systems don't produce a lot. My well can produce 10 gallons per minute before it started sucking air
But then again most houses are plumbed with small pipes. I plumb everything with 3/4 in

Yes I'm hoping to do at least one a month from now on
You should do this again in another video but add like a dye to see the whirlpool better.
Most of the water movements in your videos are not whirlpools. A whirlpool is created by opposing forces. When you see water spinning due to a downdraft (pipe, culvert etc) this is called a vortex. Love your videos!
Definitely a time vortex to the past, for those old sardines travelling through! 👌😁
You should drop some food coloring in the Whirlpool
"Feeding the enzymes." Perfect reuse, yet again! Excellent whirlpool! 👏🖖
I just bought the double bowl version of that sink... but for my basement.
I regret not getting one with a drainboard that can be use as a shelf because I have to build a table for the edge
nice video , very interesting .
Big vortices are scary. You know like the kind at a big reservoir or air based ones in tornadoes.
Ah yes
My favourite thing to do with such large sinks
Thanks Postie! More great content. Satisfying and appetizing
Nice vidio
This is peak masculine content. Thanks, the men love you. Women, I guess love you. But we all know this for the boys.
You should time how long it takes to fill...then time how long to drain...and see which is faster or slower or equal times!
You could turn this into an art form by adding colours, liquid or powder......
wtf... that's a kitchen sink in the bathroom hahahaha
