i think that if you are to develop this idea further it should be in the form or some sort of pikmin-eske rts game, where each map has different environmental hazards and the competing players have to constantly drive their thrives to adapt to the strategies of the other players
What if you could activate hazards for other players so that they would need to adapt their army to survive it. Kinda gives bloons td battles vibes but instead of monkeys you have your army and instead of balloons you have hazards
perhaps you could have the enemies be constantly evolving, with the player having to try to direct their evolution by going in and eliminating the stronger members of the species to keep the enemies weak. could encourage a frantic playstyle as any relaxation would inherently allow the enemy to grow stronger, as well as an interesting dynamic with the player having an incentive to target the strongest enemy and leave the weak ones alive.

I think an evolution game could work and be pretty cool! My idea is this: You play as a scientist working for a company that builds custom armies. A prompt comes in with a description of what the customer needs, Ex; must survive heavy gravity, have tough skin and high endurance to act as frontline protection during an invasion. You start with one of a few basic life forms and start altering the habit where they live and introducing predators and hazards to force them to evolve and it happens on a super accelerated scale! You end up with a final life form to submit for a grade, based on how well you met the needs and if you got any extra points for bonus features like perhaps you found a way to grow massive nearly indestructible crab claws they could use as shields to defend.. So basically you play god and try to form a basic blob into the apex predator or monster that the customer requires!
i feel like this could be expanded into a multiplayer strategy game involving evolving your creatures to better battle other players. the more you evolve your creatures, the better suited you'll be to attack higher ranked players, similar to clash of clans but with weird monsters that evolve. maybe that's a terrible idea but i think it's worth a shot ;)

That book "Why Evolution is True" is a flawed book. He started out making a scientific case for evolution but then strangely, his "rebuttal" approach against "intelligent design" was, disappointingly, theological/philosophical (and rather poorly done at that) instead of scientific.
Intelligent design is a philosophical and theological theory, not a scientific one. It is not necessary to debunk it scientifically because it is obvious why it is unscientific. Those whole believe in intelligent design believe in it for philosophical and theological reasons, and so if you are to go about “debunking” it, it must be done from that perspective. That said, I’m not sure how useful trying to “debunk” a religion followed by over 2 billion people is.
@@Flymerick there’s not really any scientific evidence towards intelligent design. Most of the time it is just based on the assumption that a god or gods exist and created everything. It only ever uses the gaps in our knowledge (or perceived gaps) to “prove” a god exist, so it is a theological explanation
@@Cassieniemann2541 well, spirituality isn't just about that. There are very real things that science can't explain (some romantic poets called it the Unknowable) but it's true that there isn't any scientific evidence of intelligent design. Besides, my opinion is that the Unknowable should be interpreted as "Not _yet_ Knowable". I think everything is explainable with logic, even religion. We often have the presumption of believing we can explain everything immediately but ehy! Humanity is in its teen years. Especially scientists know very well how little we truly know. Religion should explain why, and science should explain how.
@@Flymerick I personally see it like this: regardless of the existence of a god or gods something had to pop into existence for no known reason, whether it was the universe to start with, or god/gods. Maybe to think of time as having a beginning is shortsighted because time likely doesn’t contain itself, but things other than that are likely the way that they are for one reason or another. Without taking philosophy into account it could be considered a coin flip. I also would like to bring up the fact that evolution and intelligent design aren’t exactly mutually exclusive. It would make sense to me that if Christian god does exist they would likely be radially symmetrical, and still created us in his image. I think this because god is said to be beyond a word that meant both sky and universe in a older iteration of the Bible (before it was translated into English), and if this meant universe then they would likely be outside of space in the form of a point which is radially symmetrical(like the first cell). If god does exist and we are their only living creations then that would also solve the Fermi paradox, but we could also just be really early/late late on the timeline for the viability of life, or aliens who make themselves known efficiently are made extinct as seen in the dark forest solution. (Pardon me for any grammatical errors, it’s currently 3:00 a.m.)
Perhaps we do live in a simulation but not in the way we think. But rather this is a simulation that started with the first organisms to live and see what happens, and right now is just how far into the simulation we currently are. This is just a huge experiment conducted by beings greater than us which time moves differently for. So our entire existence over time has only been about 5 minutes to them.

What is true about simulated evolution AND real world (or our simulated world) evolution is that things can only evolve within the very specific limitations that are coded into their simulation ie. Chemistry and physics predetermine how things in our evolution can evolve making it a finite system of evolution which explains the rather limited template that life shows on our planet and in my opinion likely throughout our universe.
