So I've recently rebuilt a 2008 ktm 250 sxf and it feels like neutral is in between 2nd and 3rd but it's still on the bench not the frame but I have followed all the instructions of the service manual and it shifts threw all gears and can find neutral but it feels between 2nd and 3rd as stated but my neutral position on the shifting star is in the exact same spot as the service manual so should I be good or did I do something wrong

Stu, I would help you, but i don't have this motorcycle and i don't meet this type of malfunction ever. All i can say is, you need to check all selector forks, transmission shafts and selector barrel( or how it names properly) for propper instalation.
