Honestly, I have one of these things, and its pretty fun for me, its characters are funny and don't make sense is what I'll say that is bad. But overall it's pretty fun.
@Aniyah’s Playground The AMERICAN version, the Tamagotchi ON, is around $50 yes, but if you check any tama site you'll find that the japanese versions, like Tamagotchi Meets, are around $100. and if you go on Ebay people are trying to charge that and more for all versions. the little keychain Tamagotchi's sometimes go for around that price as well depending on which version you're looking for.
I would disagree, I bought one and I had it for a few days, then I realized that some parts of the LCD screen where not working, where the LCD screen was dying, then a few days after that it stopped working, I tried putting new batteries that where tested but it was still dead, so for me I would say do not buy it, it's not very well built, it died on me, but the last thing I have to say is that it's illegal, whoever made these stole the design of the tamagotchi, produced it with cheap parts, and sold them for profit, not only that but when you buy one of these you are supporting companies that pay their workers probably around 14 cents a hour, which is why you should never buy bootlegs, unless if it's high quality and it does something different
My daughter ordered this and it came in a dinosaur egg and she loved it. She also said that the sound it makes depends on what pet you choose. She finally got off the screen of her laptop thanks to this Tamagotchi!

I spent more than a dollar on it and I still think it was worth it. There are easy solutions to both the reset button on the front and the resetting when you drop it. Sure real tamagotchis are better but also cost $50 now. I would probably rather have this than a tamagotchi mini. More to do in this than the mini. I say it’s worth it especially with the low price tag as long as you have a hot glue gun! The solutions are as follows: Solution to drop reset: open the battery plate and take the metal piece, and batteries out. Put a little bit of hot glue on the batteries to hold the in place in their spots. Hot glue the small metal piece back on connecting the to batteries using hot glue. If needed, put a blob of hot glue on the inside of the removable battery piece which will apply pressure on the piece of metal and batteries when screwed in. Done! Solution for reset button on front: Simply cut the button, or put a blob of hot glue over it and make sure it fully dries before use.
This was like my very first tamagotchi except the shell was cuter. I had lots of fun with it when I was little and it got me obsessed with them. Now I’m 26 and stil love them lol

I loved this thing, but it was weird and sometimes it made weird sounds. I destroyed it every time I got scared of. It was a nice and creepy childhood experience :D

This one is cheap material but has alot more stuff to it. I got one on wish, it has a different plastic carcass but the programminh is the same.
The noises are awful! I had to laugh at all the silly characters on this thing. For as cheap as this toy is, it does look like fun. I do not expect great quality in imitation Tamagotchis from China, but if they can entertain me for a little bit, then as far as I'm concerned, it's not a complete waste of money.
I had something like this, which has the exact same firmware, but with 2 (two!) reset buttons, which are even disguised as "left" and "right" buttons. That was the worst experience with an electronic game ever.

I think it's okay and pretty good damn "coding" to make these for a buck. If you buy one dont expect it to much or buy a few and see wich one works the best.

The way you’ll know it’s the genuine tamagotchi is to look behind it. If it says Bandai in small letters, then it’s real. It’ll say somewhere on the box too. Bandai is the company that made the tamagotchi

Okay so I opened the back from the battery and there are 2 little iron plates that pushes against the batteries and I folded them a little more and now my game doesn't reset on it's own anymore :D
@@tatdat123 i tried it too, idk how to describe it so you could understand it clearly, but when you unscrew and open it, there is the metal piece on the cap that pushes the batteries down, i looks like V, you need to take those two ends of the V and fold them further from the plastic cap, so they apply more pressure on these batteries when you close and screw it back. that way the batteries hold in place better. i just tried it now and as far it looks like it works just fine. for the front reset button you can hot gun glue it or the rubber of. i hope it’s more clear now

If u put tape over the hole where the sound comes out, it will mute it.
