- In this episode of *The Thriving Misfits*, I’m joined by two inspiring women making a difference in the world of rare diseases. Nadiah, with over 20 years of experience in corporate, NGO, and humanitarian work, is a passionate advocate for sustainability, social impact, and human rights. As President of the Malaysian Rare Disorders Society, she is a force for positive change, advocating for national action plans and support for rare disorders.
Joining her is Eleanor Johnson, who moved from the UK to Malaysia and has become a key voice in supporting families dealing with Kabuki Syndrome, a rare genetic condition. Through their shared commitment to inclusion and empathy, both Nadiah and Eleanor highlight the importance of advocacy, community, and support systems in making the world a better place for individuals with rare diseases.
