Sabaidee sao Keo. I didn't really like the first part where you just went along the road behind the guy on the bicycle. But I REALLY like the second half of the video where you show the town and the riverfront road, food stands, restaurants and what's new in town. I like this Thakhek. Khon pu bao men pua leu va men fen thi chau park pa sa english kup khau? Khop chay deu. I like the way it's more relaxed in Thakhek.
Wow...Thakhek changed quite a bit. My last trip was a few years ago, but I've not visited your area for over 15 years. Tell me a little bit about the housing situation there. I know that as a US citizen, we cannot own land in Laos. Have this law been relaxed a bit? My sister purchased land from our relative in Nah Keo, and are building a home there. Her property is surrounded by our cousins' land, so she can leave it for long periods of time, without having to worry about anything. Is Thakhek relaxed and easy going?

They’ll take the house eventually…once they all agree to get some cash and all they need to do is claim it …. Building a house in Laos is a waste of money because some will end up to take it just give it time…Selling houses in Laos is almost impossible unless it is a city lot and great location…
