What a lovely city. I have a lot of relatives from San Francisco. Growing up I only see it in photos. Thanks to you and RUclips because now I get to see San Francisco even though it’s only through the internet. The quality of your videos feels like I am actually there. Keep up the good work!
This video takes me back-was there just last week and had a good time. Stayed in the Chinatown area. Got my morning coffee to go, sat down & had the coffee at Saint Mary Square, walked down Kearney to Market St, popped into the stores, got my first clipper card at the Powell St station, rode the cable car, more walks in the Fisherman's Wharf area, clam chowder lunch etc etc. Nice weather, though I wasn't accustomed to the warm sun + chilly wind combo. Now I'm back home across the globe. Hope to be back there someday!
Quite the opposite. According to CBRE, office vacancy rates stand at more than 27% at the end of last year and have only worsened. Restaurants where tech workers once lined up for lunch have had to adapt, essentially, to a customer base with a three-day work-week. Former "tourist areas" are sparsely populated.
Some of these videos are very deceiving. Sadly SF will most likely not comeback. The lawless behavior is actually spreading. Homeless, drug users trash feces and thugs stealing. Many businesses are closing. I walk it everyday living at the edge of the mission district.
@@arcadiotorres4725 San francisco may be trashed and may not be like it did before with the fog and stuff But the city will always be San Francisco and thats what matters
Couldn't help but notice at 3:05 you edited out a part. I'm trying to get an honest idea of what San Fran is like these days. Such timely editing doesn't quite feel fully honest. Thanks for posting but next time how about uncut footage?
Oh, there was a copyrighted song playing on the background while filming. I stopped filming so as not to record while music was playing so I turned my camera off. Then I saw a street performer dancing and doing push ups which I thought was interesting to record. I turned my camera on again and will just let RUclips delete the song for me. I uploaded said part of the video, so when RUclips picked up the music on the background, RUclips muted it so I won’t have issues with the creators of the music. I do not filter nor being dishonest with my presentation of the city; if you have the chance, watch my other videos- straight to the point, no BS. Thanks for watching
Look at the rates for hotels is San Francisco and you will get an honest view of how things are going. Hint: Hotels that once were at rates of $650 - $800 per night are now $125 - $175 per night. Nothing more honest than that for a tourist wanting to visit a once wonderful city.
@@txcaco1 Nonsense. Tried to book a hotel for some visiting family. $250 and up. Oh, and normal hotel rates in SF were never "$650 - $800". It can happen during some massive conferences like Dreamforce or events like Pride, Fleet Week, etc. But normal SF hotel prices were always about $150-300 depending on the season. Anything good in a central location was always $250-300 pretty much year round. Anything cheaper than $150 is always either a hostel, of which there are quite a few and all in the crappier parts of town, or it's actually a hotel located in Oakland. If anything, hotels have gotten a tad more expensive after the pandemic. Why are you people trying to lie about things that take less than 3 seconds to google? I dare you to google "san francisco hotel" right now and tell me what you see!
Lol, SF was never famous for its night life. In fact, all my New Yorker friends incessantly complain that we're "a bedroom community" where everything closes at 9pm. Where are you people getting this dreq from?
@caliwalks I have lived in SF from 1980 until 2000 and 2000 until 2019 in the Eastbay. Work location 8th and Market Street SF. for more than 13 years, used Civic Center BART station at the same time. I think I have seen it ALL
SF is like a donut of great and amazing neighborhoods at the outer edges and a nasty donut hole in the center of the city. That's the Civic Center/Tenderloin/6th Street area. As long as you stay away from those areas, the City is great. SF is a gorgeous city, but like any other town it has a rough neighborhood. The only difference is that SF's skid row is smack in the center of the city while other cities tend to force those kinds of neighborhoods to the outskirts. If you don't want to see that stuff, you just don't go there. That's what the locals do.
Horrible city. It should be entirely demolished, removed, site restored to the pre-European redwood trees vegetation and deeded to a trust created for descendants of the original indigenous Indians tribes who were killed and displaced in California.
