  • In this Episode of Lund's Ultimate Fishing Experience, we visit Minnesota's Twin Cities metro area, home to many quality fishing lakes. The largest, most well-known, and productive is Lake Minnetonka, especially in spring, while the water is still relatively cool. Fish gather in the shallows and walleye, along with other hungry predators, follow closely behind. Targeting these shallow walleye fish is a favorite of Travis Frank, and it's not just the walleyes. After years of guiding here, Travis knows the beauty of Lake Minnetonka is the strength of its multi-species action. Today, Travis is joined on his home Lake by Rapala's Dan Quinn. No stranger to multi-species fishing, Dan knows this has all the ingredients for a great day on the water.
Hosts: Travis Frank (Lund Pro Staff) & Dan Quinn (Rapala)
    Boat: Lund 2075 Pro-V Bass

What happened to not keeping the large fish but returning them to keep the species going.

Walleyes in this lake don’t naturally reproduce. If you actually payed attention they detail how these are all stock fish. Sure you can let them go and grow bigger but keeping a few aren’t going to hurt this stocked lake.

Lake Minnetonka and lake waconia do have some natural reproduction occurring just not enough to eliminate stocking needs
