Most of us have been waiting for these guys or someone like them for a long time. The music is as real as the guys playing it. They have been my favorite for about 3 years now. I would call them one of the greatest southern rock bands of all time. And better yet, you can still go see them live!
Always looking for the next generation to carry us through.....a few years ago for me it was Derek Trucks and last year it was Gary Clark Jr. now these guys.....thanks for keeping the light on
No comments? LOL, Un-fn believable. Gtarist plays a great Dickey Betts, and Charlie sings a wonderful, soulful Gregg Allman. This band has incredible range.
blackberry smoke one of my favorite bands seen them many times if you want to see another great cover of Melissa go check out the Morgan James version I think you will enjoy it as well ,long live the smoke
I still say they need to earn it first. A lot of bands were great over a short period of time. For me, to be considered one of the greats you either have to have a long career of excellence or a run of brilliance over a few years. Nothing I've heard from them struck me as brilliant (I use that word to describe The Beatles, or Dylan, and very few others). But this is all opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs. In the end they are a very good band that I am glad came around.
These guys are REALLY good but people are getting a bit carried away calling them one of the best bands ever. They may possibly become one of the best but they haven't been around long enough to earn that yet.
Too bad this is such a cheap recording of this performance. Charlie is the only performer today that even comes close to matching Gregg's soulful sound

Seen em 47 times in 5 years. Yeah, they are that good. Like 1971 all over again, every damn time!
BBS cover some of the greatest Southern Rock songs ever...and do em all justice. Amazing!
