Self-checkout (also known as self-service checkout and as semi-attended customer-activated terminal, SACAT) machines provide a mechanism for customers to process their own purchases. The customer performs the job of the cashier themselves, by scanning and applying payment for the items. You can either pay by cash, card or gift cards.
Cashout is not available without a purchase at Coles, if using a self checkout. Therefore, you'll need to go to the front counter/cashier for cashout only.
