As a guy who does construction and is outside all day every day these guys are the most underrated under appreciated workers in our society what a physically demanding job they have
I do construction as a hobby because I find it relaxing. Much easier than my actual job.

Shouldn’t have to be said. Who are we these days? Protect any workers that are working through the pandemic. They are heroes. Period.

I do not think anyone is hiding at home. If someone is at home because they lost their job, or are unable to work at the office, they are not hiding. Being angry because someone else is a CEO is really stupid! Everyone does not have to do the same job! If you do not have the job that you want, go out and get the one that you want!

It's really tragic because he can't even go to his son's funeral or get with family members. I hope he finds peace, and get through this. I hope that sanitation workers get compensated for dealing with this because they did NOT sign up to put their lives on the line like this.

We take waste management for granted. These people save lives in a way that's not recognized. Corona virus or not these jobs are an important part of society. Also plumbing is important too.

Rusty Shacklford, I've been to places on this planet where there is no waste management. I've witnessed quantities of garbage and filth openly exposed. The local population suffered from disease and death, much of it from an unsanitary environment. The government in these places are corrupt and its officials live well at the expense of its citizens, and 'We America' support these regimes. We are fortunate here and take these services for granted. Thanks to our essential workers, even in our so called low end places, are better than many places in this world.

As a custodian my hats off, to this crowd.
I was her and worked for Waste Management. Sanitation workers are up 3am to start the day at 5am. They are under appreciated. The residence can do better also with trash and recycling. The stuff you smell is -ugh!

Pay them more and give death insurance of at least $100K ($2k/month to their families until balance depletes) if something was to happen to them. These people are one of the heroes.
So how about a PAY RAISE for him and nurses and janitors etc that obviously face INCREASED RISK??
I bet all the people that keep going out to save others or keep things going WILL NOT GET A CENT of extra pay, extra insurance, risk money or bonus during or after this crisis. Ask the firefighters and veterans.

I'm a custodian and I was laid off last week. I honestly dont know how I am going to pay my stuff or continue to go to college now.(in school for welding)
I'm a over the road truck and I respect all the hard work you all do as well as others out there working out here. My daughter is a cashier and they to are doing what's needed to get this virus.. God bless us all and continue to have faith in God. 🙏

I’m a cop who loves my sanitation people.
I really appreciate them. And my 2 year old grandson loves them. Friday is trash day at his house and you would think Mickey was out there. He runs out there to see them. One day he had me following them down the street. Thank you for the work you do.

Nah, I got laid off and I'm a custodian. 😖 now I wont be able to continue to be in college.
I sort all kinds of linen and gowns coming from hospitals for laundry. I have to continue to work even if my life is in danger just to survive.
These people are risking their lives doing their job yet they barely get minimum wage😔 they deserve better.

Garage worker here I remember joining my dads garbage company in about thanksgiving of 2021 I remember wearing mask and he told me “hold your breath going in the trash can just you got a mask doesn’t mean you don’t have to go the extra mile” it was a CRAZY experience being a frontliner during covid but I got to keep my community safe thanks for all the thanks glad I could help
Some take for granted what others do and every single person that still work in order to help Americans need more than to be thanked and they must know we care for them! I thank them all and pray they all keep safe!

I also want to give a shoutout to the men and woman, who work in the cash flow business. Before all we worried about was getting robbed or shot now we have this to worry about. We go without hesitation to hospitals, supermarkets all kinds of businesses to keep the money flow, to have money in the ATMs, to pick up the cash and checks you deposited. Be safe guys 👏🏼

I haven't feel like myself in about 3 weeks , I have no medical help and I've been doing alot of home remedies "it's the only thing I can do" I still have to work and as much as I want to keep my distance " I can't at my job " on the floor , in the break room , at the time clock . Nobody is trying to stay away . At home nobody cares I'm a little 😷 they just keep hanging around me like everything is normal and all the while " I'm going crazy" I don't know if it will pass or if I'll get worse ..... SMH so sad !

I do not know if they have these in NY, but when I lived in Cali, they had trash trucks that grab the entire trash can and it goes up and empty into the truck, you don't have to go outside and pick it up. Would be great for NY but their housing and streets are very close and narrow.

Seem like a good team, driver cleaned the truck for everyone & still cleaned after touching the wheel, they’re laughing & work together that really helps with morale 💯I respect togetherness & getting along at a job man bc it’s nothing worse not being able to have peace of mind !
