It's time for a tail light revision. Also it's about time Toyota paints the front and rear black plastic bumpers on all models. Were 5 years into this model.
Lunar rock is the best color in my opinion. I just can't find one on the lot when I want to buy. Gonna get one again soon so we'll see how good my luck is. It's a perfect awd utility car for a musician.

The goofy screen position actually makes sense once you drive for a while. The Toyota Sensing and 42-45 hybrid miles on the highway definitely are pros and would still buy it again.

I just bought a 2023 RAV4 Maroon. I don't see anywhere to turn on the beeping when you're slowing backing up and it gets faster the closer to backup to something. Why is it not standard or am I just missing the setting?
6:26 I see a latch sticking laterally from the pillar side. Is that an option? Do customers need to buy that later? I purchased a new 2023 RAV4 last month, and the latch (on the left-hand side of the vehicle) is not present in my car. But a latch on the right-hand side is present. Toyota dealership said to me today that there shouldn't be a latch on the left side. I started wondering why you have that part in place. It made me think the latch might be some option or an item of extra charge.
Thanks for the video. I’ve had my new RAV4 XLE since 1/26 and I’m loving it! However, so far the mileage is averaging 23mpg USA (mostly city driving) which is a far cry from the 27mpg which was advertised. AS for the new lunar rock color…it looks like battleship grey with clearcoat. NOPE, not a fan!
Every RAV4 I have seen online has tons of crap you really don't need added at the port of entry, it's a money making forced add-on...such as the Toyoguard wax job for $699...carpet mats for $449...keypad on the outside door pillar for $399....plastic liner for the edge of your doors and the inside of the door handles for $249...how bout cables for a whopping $249 for your smart phone (like you don't already have one)....it all adds up to around $2200-2500 more, again, of crap you really don't need. AND on top of that insult, they'll add their "doc fee" for another $800 or so, and finally their own little dealer add-on sticker, which might be $499 for window tint. I told the sales guy it came with privacy tint, except for the glass next to the driver and front passenger. He kept telling me no, they tinted them all. I walked out. They can wait on another sucker to walk thru their doors.
Is the manual liftgate really heavy, or is there some kind of hydraulic assist? I'm trying to figure out if the convenience package is worth it, since I don't care for a moonroof.
It's a nice feature if your arms are full . Worth the extra money hard to say. We reserved one that has the feature but it also had the heated seats and steering wheel we wanted. The 16 we are trading in did not have power lift..really wasn't an issue.

Lunar Rock, it's actually better looking than in this video, the camera setting is making everything look lighter/washed out. The interior is darker than we see here too, actually real dark gray.
Most dealerships are charging 2-3k extra now because of car availability so if you are looking at one right now expect to pay more even with less features. I literally bought one of the last vehicles that had less features that is coming next week from 32,470 to 34,500 after negotiating or it would have been 35,700. This before tax.
Only have 1 car with start/stop button so I'm going off of experience. With foot on brake, press the button to start the car. With car in Park, push the button to turn off the car. It will stay on or off as long as you don't push the button. Hope this helps.
This just makes me sad. We picked up a 22 Rav XLE in April. And we still have the old infotainment, plus the 4” gauges. Why couldn’t these changes be in the 22 model. 😭 all we got in 22 was the headlights everything else was the same as the previous.

My friend has 2019 RAV4 XLE the only thing I don’t like about it is the stereo system it does not pump out enough bass but I do love this car when I driver my friends car I love putting it in sport mode so aggressive she is lol 😂 I always do love Japanese cars because they are always reliable. I love Japanese people they always build the best stuff that will last for a lifetime forever. It saves on gas if I don’t put it in sport mode and it’s an Eco mode. It only goes 140 mph. The car that I do miss driving is the 2022 jaguar. It’s just like. RAV4 but the jaguar is so much better way better but it still sucks gas so bad I like how the car if you are a stoplight, the engine shuts off and when you get ready to press on the gas, the engine is like it’s never been off. And the stereo system inside the Jaguar. It is so good surroundsound huge bass I love listening to my favorite rock band Mötley Crüe. They will always be my favorite rock band.

a lot has changed, yeah right. I have the 2023 rav4 hybrid, a few minor changes. I believe the end of 2024 or 2025 model there will be a new redesign of the rav4.
I thought the video was good. I live in a State were we have cloudy days about 80% of the time. (Most residents are vitamin D deficient). Because of that, I would not buy a Luna, Gray, Silver, or white. (White because we have snow on the ground 7 months of the year). I order 2023 XLE with the convenience package in RED.
This looks like a good all around veeehicle. I would pilot this acceptable automobile down the interstate happily and without hesitation. Icing on the cake would be in Jan was my saleswoman
Did I miss it? What has changed from 2022? Safety Sense 2.5 vs 2.0 and it looks like the entertainment screen is nicer but other than that is it the same as in previous years.
Changes are in the infotainment - 8 inch display standard with new software (wireless CarPlay/Android Auto), available 10.25 inch display, also you get a larger a gauge cluster display on lower trims and a full digital display on limited. It’s a refresh, so a few changes, not a full designs. Also the upgrade to 2.5 SS.
Looking into an SUV in the upcoming days? So whats better the Rogue or Rav4? I know about the difference of the cylinders but other than that. I am checking out the Rav4. I already looked at CRV but it's most likely out
Just picked up my '23 SE Hybrid and a long time owner of a 2015 Prius. On the Prius you could easily track estimated MPG on the dashboard directly in front of you. You would click like Trip A, zero out the mileage, and it would start to calculate the MPG. Having the hardest time finding the best (and easiest) way to track MPG on my RAV4. It does track MPG on the current tank of gas but is there a way to do it easily per trip?

Totally agree with painting the front/rear bumpers as well as the wheel well trims same color as the vehicle

Yes, buy the gas. Hybrids need to be driven often for the battery to stay healthy.

My 2021 Gas is great, 8spd tranny (no CVT), 31mpg city, 37 mpg hiway. Plenty of passing power too.

I have the fabric seats, they never get hot or cold with temperature. (unlike leather). Very comfortable for long drives too.
I love fabric seats. Leather seats get really cold in winters and really hot in summer. Plus you just feel sticky all the time in leather seats.

Eeew I don't like the red display! My new Rav hybrid has mostly blue, green, and white in the display and it's so soothing. Do the non hybrid Ravs all have red like that or is it changeable? Red gives me road rage LOL.
I think the red display means it's in sport mode, other modes are different colors.
My friend has 2019 RAV4 XLE the only thing I don’t like about it is the stereo system it does not pump out enough bass but I do love this car when I driver my friends car I love putting it in sport mode so aggressive she is lol 😂 I always do love Japanese cars because they are always reliable. I love Japanese people they always build the best stuff that will last for a lifetime forever. It saves on gas if I don’t put it in sport mode and it’s an Eco mode. It only goes 140 mph. The car that I do miss driving is the 2022 jaguar. It’s just like. RAV4 but the jaguar is so much better way better but it still sucks gas so bad I like how the car if you are a stoplight, the engine shuts off and when you get ready to press on the gas, the engine is like it’s never been off. And the stereo system inside the Jaguar. It is so good surroundsound huge bass I love listening to my favorite rock band Mötley Crüe. They will always be my favorite rock band.
And what is your favourite "stuff",that you are on??. RAV4, some jaguar, Japanese cars & people & then some Motley Crue. I don't know whether your saying to buy a RAV4 or go to a Motley Crue concert??.

Wow its quite different from the Canadian one. XLE 2023 in Canada gets you moonroof, power liftgate, heated steering wheels and seats

a lot has changed, yeah right. I have the 2023 rav4 hybrid, a few minor changes. I believe the end of 2024 or 2025 model there will be a new redesign of the rav4.

I live in a State were we have cloudy days about 80% of the time. (Most residents are vitamin D deficient). Because of that, I would not buy a Luna, Gray, Silver, or white. (White because we have snow on the ground 7 months of the year). I order 2023 XLE with the convenience package in RED.

Did I miss it? What has changed from 2022? Safety Sense 2.5 vs 2.0 and it looks like the entertainment screen is nicer but other than that is it the same as in previous years.
Changes are in the infotainment - 8 inch display standard with new software (wireless CarPlay/Android Auto), available 10.25 inch display, also you get a larger a gauge cluster display on lower trims and a full digital display on limited. It’s a refresh, so a few changes, not a full designs. Also the upgrade to 2.5 SS.
We tried a 21 out with 9k miles and opted to reserve a new one for the updates..pretty much same money anyway.

Just picked up my '23 SE Hybrid and a long time owner of a 2015 Prius. On the Prius you could easily track estimated MPG on the dashboard directly in front of you. You would
click like Trip A, zero out the mileage, and it would start to calculate the MPG. Having the hardest time finding the best (and easiest) way to track MPG on my RAV4. It does track MPG on the current tank of gas but is there a way to do it easily per trip?
