- The Outlaws with violinist Dave Lane in a three-song Philadelphia performance filmed 6-29-82 and later broadcast on television.
BetaGems are culled from an archive of over 1000 beta video tapes recorded from 1983 into the 1990s. Most feature live music performances broadcast on television in San Diego CA, though there are also rarely seen commercials, comedy clips, and other material that doesn't seem to be anywhere else on RUclips or online. Most of the tapes were recorded on a Sony SL-HFT7 Super Beta Theater Hi-Fi Stereo - the same model was refurbished and is being used for these digital transfers and uploads.
In rare occasions where a BetaGems clip does appear elsewhere, we're only uploading if our own beta master is better quality or contains material not seen previously. Much footage comes from public television and public access broadcasts that the taper, who worked for a local cable TV production company in the 1980s, monitored nightly for several years. Some of the programming is strictly regional, mostly from the San Diego area. Развлечения
Can't be an Outlaws show unless you have 3 guitarists 1 bass and 2 drummers !!!😁😁😁
RIP Hughie!!!😢😢😢
Thomasson shoulda worked things out w/ Jones/ And launching Harvey Dalton didn't help.
Was a great lineup that one & yeah 2 drummers too.
Saw them on thd 26th my birthday on the west side pier

All these years later, and still unmatched! RIP Hughie! We miss you!

Dave was their guitar tech , just after Freddy joined. Always gave me & my bud passes that said "Outlaws Pit Security". Lmao. Good times.
And extremely under rated
Amazing

Dixie killing it on the skins!
Where was Billy Jones ?????
Freddy Salem
Good player, I never thought he was right for the band tho. Something about that Ron Jeremy look.
@@eric_in_florida. Funny, but after seeing your comment I realize I don’t think he was right either. Great player, and I actually like his bellowing singing style, just not in the Outlaws.
@@glennkrzeminski7539He was funny as hell when it came to interviews though!!!😂😂😂😂
I play in a band with Dave Lane, plays lap steel now, not fiddle!
Dave is awesome. Wanna see him frown? Mention West Chester !
Where are you guys playin' ? I knew Dave in the early 90's. I've lost track of him. What's the name of your band?
Wow. Would love to see him. In Tampa?
Did a gig a Freddie's club in Akron a few years back. Hell of a nice guy.
That bass is rick cua great job but yall need planned clothing!! Lol
Looks like he walked out of Oingo Boingo lol
Great..but why wasnt Billy Jones on this performance?
I think he had left the band by this point....
@@daytonarama thanks so he prob played on the album but left shortly thereafter
Yes. A founding member of the band and played on the early albums. But had some issues and was forced out of the band in the early 1980s, per Wikipedia . Later committed suicide, sadly. @@bojangles713
@@daytonarama thanks again yes I knew about the suicide very sad ...just a few days ago I saw an interview with billy n Hughie. I think it was from late 70s/early 80s it was really good .I know they looked like "outlaws" but both were highly intelligent.!
@@bojangles713 No, Billy last played on the "Ghost Riders" album released in Nov 1980.
Billy was fired from the band soon after their tour of Europe in 1981 when they got home.
been looking for lyrics for Goodbye, the first song they play in this video, i can make some of the words but if anyone can find or has found the lyrics leave a reply if you don't mind lol Yall have a good one
Hughie with the much hated Antigua finish strat on Ghost Riders. Awful looking up close but not a bad stage guitar.
Love the Antigua.
For some reason the audio does not seem to be a good quality stereo sound
I own this concert video on vhs and DVD and those sound just as bad. Not sure why that is
Arista put out 2 songs from this show on a greatest hits cassette then later on cd, and the audio sounds great... I believe the 2 songs released were You are the Show and Ghost Riders
Sure wish the DVD sounded better ☹️
Great guitar, but the poor guy can't except the fact that he is going bald. Head band or not.
iDIOTIC COMMENT
Dude it was pretty obvious he was goin bald someone always has to run their mouth and 2 that's a fuckin bandana around hid head man
Christ that's Hughie
@@ricaughinbaugh1242 I know man people have no respect
@@ricaughinbaugh1242 fking legend
I believe that LP Standard is the one I traded straight up for his 73 deluxe backstage at the Spectrum in 1979???
Been a long time ago and was fortunate to know and play with Hughie and Billy. Great guys… RIP Brothers!!!
