  • Thank you Japan for the views! This channel has reached 3000 views. You guys were our No. 3 country and so here you have a gift: a symphony by relatively unknown Komei Abe.
Russian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by/Orquesta Filarmónica de Rusia dirigida por Dmitry Yablonsky.
    I. Allegro con brio (0:00)
    II. Adagietto (6:12)
    III. Vivace assai (12:13)
Komei Abe would probably be the most important neoclassical symphonists in all Japan. He could also be the forefather of contemporary Japanese neoromantic school. He draws inspiration from ancient Japanese Music, but also from the Soviet school, popular in Japan during the post WW2 years. His only symphony is actually a good example of his music during the 1950’s.

He is almost as unknown as me, but the piece is very engaging and symphonic.

The 3rd. movement is practically the same than the 1st. movement.
