good to see the heart of the vessel beating again, also thank you for posting this vid as it brought back many happy memories spent fishing with the family on my boat, with the grief to owning a boat sometimes its good to be reminded why we do it lol all the best.
Yes I sort of stuffed up a bit, I was going to make a bit of footage starting her up for the first time but visitors, family, timing etc threw that out the window, will still do so I think, love the engine sound and awesome hearing it beat again after such a long break, just need to rebuild some confidence, Looking forward to to some other work now and starting to bring her back into better condition,

Happy New Year Mike. Enjoying these videos. Any chance you could give us a bit of a decent look at your marina neighbour, Oranui at some stage? She was looking quite sad a few years back but seems to be in splendid condition now. Great to see the Roger Carey and Athol Burns pedigree side by side!
Hi, Thanks for the feedback, really appreciated, yes I am sure I can manage some footage of the neighbouring boat, don't think the neighbour would be too concerned, it is really nice to hear about people saving these older boats as all too often it never ends well, everyone older vessel we lose we can never get back so an important part of our maritime heritage that many people don't realise we had because older vessels die quietly somewhere, often in full view on a mooring or backyard
Creeping closer Rob, a few gremlins re the electrics. I watched several episodes on Whaling in Marlborough the other night, was that you featured on that, if not obviously a family member and your family, really interesting, I love that type of footage and history, a different time and approach to life
