    As someone that services SXS and ATVs for a living, I would never own a Polaris. The build quality (especially in the suspension, bearings, wheel hub, etc) is very poor. Can’t tell you how many I have serviced with the suspension just trashed vs other brands.
    I am however glad people buy them. It gives me indefinite job security lol.

    As a 6'5" guy yes there is a huge difference in the front seats. I can't bend my leg back far enough to hit the brakes in a rzr. In my x3 I can stretch my legs out, and i fit in the back seat without my knees touching.
    I have the base model x3 Max 64" my buddy has a rzr turbo 64" and we both like mine better lol. He also like my seats beats better we both have stock seats.

      @Over Budget RC did you have to do something custom ro lower the seats or is there just an adjustment lever. I'm a big guy too and in the rzr it was very tight behind the driver seat

    • @OverBudgetRC
      @OverBudgetRC Год назад

      @C H the maverick x3 have dual mounts to lower them just unbolt and put it in the lower hole for the rear of the seat they use a 2" spacer remove that and place it on top of the seat frame because of how long the bolt is.
      You dont have to buy anything it might even be in the manual of how to do it
      All 4 seats can be lowered but I only lowered the front

    Brought home my new X3 MAX today and LOVE IT! Yea, it’s long as hell and as a long time 2 seater sports car guy, it’s gonna take some getting used to but what I’ll get to experience in the coming weeks/months with the wife and kids makes it all worth it. Also, I’ve seen some videos where MAX owners take the back seats out and put camping gear in there (or whatever else). A few companies make some pretty cool racks and storage things to put in place of the rear seats so you don’t have to pack everything up top.

    I had a 2020 Polaris Rzr Turbo S and loved it 1700 miles no problems at all.
    Bought the 2021 Can Am Maverick XRS Turbo RR with the new smart shocks.
    There are good and bads with the both I guess. The rzr 1700 miles NO Problems at all . Seating was straight up , good for seeing not so much for long rides. The cage way to tall lol. The ride command it’s sweet factory radio a plus , taking it apart to add or work on it WAY BETTER than Can am lol. The lights on the floor a pretty cool added touch I though. I loved you could see the shocks working on the ride command and when you start it you feel the shocks work, pretty cool. Rear camera was very handy also.
    Can Am .. more money but whatever well do it. More power and msn it showed lol.
    Way better back seats kids love the room over Polaris. The reclined seats are very comfortable for sure. Lower cage so it looks Way better on that. Buttt I didn’t like at first we had it in the shop more than we owned it with Suspension Malfunction lights all the time lol. Luckily I finally done enough videos and complaining they found the prob abs I was first on Cam Am’s recall fix 😂 . Then 800 miles
    Limp home mode keeps coming on ( we never took it off road yet lol. Well that cost me a new belt and 4 new spark plugs to get it fixed. So over all we liked it but not a very good experience with all the problems so we sold it to go bank with the rzr lol. Maybe we got a bad one who knows, still a nice looking machine for sure but that rzr inside was killing it lol.

    I wish the Can Am had more than just a platform in the back for storage. The RZR has at least some storage. I don’t want to have to put a spare tire on the roof or hang it off the back of an already very long machine. But, having driven both machines, they are both pretty freakin amazing!

    • @DerangedOffRoad
      @DerangedOffRoad  3 года назад +2

      True. I left storage off the other video but it probably could’ve made the cut. The “deck” in the back of the X3 doesn’t allow for much and if you do use it for a cooler or really anything else, you can no longer see out the back. And you’re right, both rigs are pretty incredible! -Joe

      I’ve thought about it. The tough part is that they are so different. The ProXP is 64” and leans heavily into tech and innovation. The X3 DS would be the direct competitor at 64” but the feature set and pricing of the two is quite different. Maybe when the new ProXP R comes out, we’ll circle back to the 64” ProXP vs the X3 DS. -Joe

    I own a 2019 Turbo S4 and pretty agree with most of the reasons....BUT why is the Smart Loc better then the RZR's system? All that being said I love my RZR, and as for the power I'm a pure desert guy and the vast majority of times I can't really use all of it. I do wish it had a lower "low" range. So why did I buy a RZR instead?..#1 reason was I hated the lay down seating!..has a lot of room, but visibility hampered. #2 reason was the crazy OAL length..I didn't like it being so long. I think the CanAm is a great machine, but just not for me.
    Here is a freebee..The C/A has what I see as a cage that's much stronger from the factory. Thanks for the video!

    • @DerangedOffRoad
      @DerangedOffRoad  3 года назад

      Good call. The reason the CanAm system is better is in addition to the different modes where the system locks the front diff as needed, the X3 XRS comes with a switch to fully lock the front diff. The RZR does not. The seating position went into my buying decision as well. -Joe

    • @ChaseLandMgmt
      @ChaseLandMgmt 2 года назад

      The seating position can be adjusted with the seat bases or spacers for the rear seat studs. a 1.5" spacer makes a huge difference in visibility and comfort. I plan to go full suspension seats regardless, but for 30 bucks i was very impressed with the difference.

    I love the way that everybody always compares the two machines by the good things. Why don’t you try comparing the bad things. Compare that turbo S strength to The Can-Am strength. Everything about the turbo S is strong. The one and only thing that Can-Am has that is better is the engine. And it took three cylinders versus two to be better. And when you consider three versus two they barely have more horsepower. Pretty sad considering they have an extra cylinder. But there is absolutely nothing on Can-Am that is stronger than a turbo S.
